I think we can all realistically agree that Gamecube's controller sucked compared to Nintendo's other controllers due to the cheap springy shoulder buttons, unresponsive analog sticks, terrible d-pad, terrible face button configuration, worthless right analog stick, and its worthless z button. The N64, despite being innovative, was pretty bad as well due to durability of the controller, but at least in its brand-new state the analog stick was far more sensitive than a new gamecube analog stick.

Although, in their time, the NES controller, the SNES controller, and the Wii Remote were the most innovative and best controllers of their generation. The Gamepad is easily Nintendo's most advanced controller ever, and I do think in 10 years all game controllers will have some sort of built in tablet, although I can see them being smaller displays, similar to iPhone in size. The Wii U skipped the standard size and launched with the XL size, although, probably for the best since a stylus is unrequired.

"we"

no.

the entire universe loves the gamecube controller if you haven't noticed

just remembered a valid point. Nintendo doesn't make the best controllers; they make the second best controllers. Every time they innovate, sony just steals the innovation and improves on it. So yeah, they don't make the best controllers.

That can go both ways, remind me again what was the first controller with dual analog sticks?

remind me again which Controller had ONE analog stick in the first place XD

Playstation. The N64 Stick was digital.

:P

still, N64 had the idea first XD

Watch the video, it definitely is Analog input. Starts at ~0:25. Sorry for the sound, didn't really realize the software would capture ALL of my audio XD

Jeezz! Easy on the quote trees.

I do not like the wii mote. Sensor bar takes batteries as does the remotes. Burns through them pretty fast as well. I think Nintendo made a deal with the battery companies.

Uh.. you plug the sensor bar into the Wii. Doesn't need batteries.

My original cord broke rather easily. I bought a battery powered one since I could not find a corded one fore sale.

I never had any problems with it despite rolling it up to travel all the time.

Wii remotes taking batteries didn't bother me as they lasted a decent length and I use rechargeables.
