there's a freaking load of potential the cross-platform shit has. this would be great by itself, but imagine them like expanding this on your smartphone and stuff? not playing the games on it i mean, I meanlike, for example you could check out your NNID account on the future MiiVerse app or something, and for instance, if you find a new Wii U game you'd like to play, you purchase it on the Phone, and the Wii U which is at home connects via SpotPass and downloads the game, and you go home to find the game downloaded and ready for you to play. you have a shit ton of potential Nintendo! and you always have, but when will you use it?

I've been expecting this ever since they confirmed GBA games were coming to the Wii U VC, but made no mention of the 3DS.

I suspect IF and when cross-buy launches, it will accompany the release of a few GBA games to the eShop -- probably some from the 3DS Ambassador Program. Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, etc. *IF*.

well, Sony copies Nintendo, Nintendo copies them for this cross-platform thing, and Sony is still copying Nintendo XD

Known fact that 3DS is getting Miiverse and that they will eventually unify the accounts.  Question is if they let you play the VC games on hand held and home console for free (if you bought it on one platform) or if you have to pay a fee to get it on both.  Been telling them in the Club Nintendo surveys that I should be able to play VC games from Wii/Wii U on the 3DS for free and not expected to buy it twice for over a year now.

i dont think Ninty would have the gall to charge twice, the backlash would be nasty, especially when the comp is not doing it.

i dont think Ninty would have the gall to charge twice, the backlash would be nasty, especially when the comp is not doing it.

They already are with NES games such as Super Mario Bros., etc.  I have Super Mario Bros. on VC but it is also offered on 3DS VC which I would have to pay another 5 for.
