Price cuts are not going to happen that often anymore. Once, maybe twice in the lifetime of a console from now on. It seems Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have learned this from looking at Apple's model.

Well, 360 has only had 2 official price cuts, last on in 2008.

After X1 releases...its gonna be a hard sell for the $399 250 gig 360 kinect bundle lol. Even the standard $299 360/$299 4gb Kinect bundle will need a drop in 2014 and beyond.

I agree that 10M shipped is a good number. But you do contradict yourself with those 2 statements as a good chunk of those 10M shipments came from the Holiday 50 dollar price cut.

I ma saying both are down, I'm being objective and have been consistent all year.  This in the face of a majority here saying the PS3 could be flat (yes quite a few said this) or only slightly down this year by under 10%.  It makes no sense whatsoever.

While shipments and Nintendo chartz shows a drop of 10-15% only the Europe is immune... I guess Europe is just a little late in the trends... I think this 30% drop will happen next year in Europe.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Nice edit on your first statment. But you also said "Given lack of price cuts, 10 million shipped is a very good number". Which I agreed on the number. 

Regardless of your definition of "official" or not, my point still stands. A good % of that 10M came from a price cut that is no longer in effect. Since when does official mean permanent?  Microsoft had an official price cut on the X360 for the holidays.
