Yeah, people got tired of WW2 after 6th gen, which is why Medal of Honor died out and why Infinity Ward switched to the Modern Wafare franchise. World at War was pretty much the last big WW2 game, and it released in 2008, 7 years ago. I think it's time to go back to WW2 again, alot of people are getting tired of Modern and Futuristic shooters, the demand for historic shooters is back again. They don't even have to go back to WW2, I wouldn't mind a Korean War game, no game as ever explored the Korean War as far as I know, it would be interesting. |
I wouldn't get my hopes up for a good historical shooter anytime soon, especially ones coming from big publishers.
They focus too much on the mp and not on the historical facts. That alone would defeat the purpose of the game.
And if they focus on the mp, they can't make boring and inneficient last century weapons, replace modern marvels.
Allied story is one told to exhaution. D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, etc... they would never have a setting in Russia, Africa (Namibia, Tanzania), etc...
If they did a Vietnam one as well, it wouldn't bring any novelty. Unless they make one about independence struggles occured across Africa and Asia during the 60's and 70's. That's a massive no no as well.

Not exclusives, there are multiplats releasing on PC, PS4, and Xbox One from both Capcom and Bandai Namco that will be at E3. The info comes from the official E3 website. An action game and an adventure game from Capcom. An action game, an adventure game, a fighter, and a simulation game from Bandai Namco. |
oh ok got it thanks
Man...looking at all of these witcher 3 videos is making me too giddy. You can literally get high off of this stuff.

Agreed. My favorite Youtuber released his Witcher 3 video from the Youtuber event CD Projekt held recently, it was awesome. Seriously can't wait for Witcher 3. 15 days to go now.... Dammit, where's Doc Brown when you need him, I need a time machine asap!!! Also, we're getting some PS4 footage this week, should be pretty close to the Xbox One version (the only difference is the resolution apparently), so after Youtube compression we'll get a close approximation of what the Xbox One version will look like. |
you know...I don't get why microsoft has the marketing deal if they can't even get a jump on showing off their version off first... smh.
You would normally expect that we won't see any PS4 footage at all until release when MS pays for exclusive marketing. I know that CD Projekt isn't a fan of exclusive stuff (I think they said they would never put exclusive missions, costumes and other stuff on only one platform) but to pay for exclusive marketing and let them then say "we show PS4 but not XBO material" is super weird.
I also don't really understand why CD Projekt doesn't simply show something on XBO, it would be really not a big dealand since the game will release soon they should have something to show^^
