Vesperia* :P
Ever played any other Tales before? Uhhh, Eternal Sonata?
In any case, there's a sweet demo if you're not sure.
Tales of Vesperia (much like the rest of the Tales Of games) is an JRPG based on a real-time combat system, on which you are teleported to a battleground and have direct control over your characters (though you only maneuver with one of them, up to you). You can attack by pressing B, but here's the catch: regarding the direction you're pushing on the stick, your character will do a different attack. Stick Up + B is different than Stick right + B.
The Artes (The magic, for starters), are done in the same vein, and those are powerful attacks that cost "mana".
The story is simple, yet interesting (it falls into JRPG clichés, but mixed through political dramas and certain other things that make it stand out). You have a nice group of characters (except for the GODDAM KID, CHILDREN IN JAPANESE GAMES ARE ANNOYING), and you have plenty of things to do. There's also a fully explorable world map.
Tales of Vesperia is one of my favourite games of the seventh gen. I need to add, it is also one of the very few 360 games to offer four player offline co-op. Your buddies can take control over the other characters during combat sequences :P
