How long is that deal going for? Like this weekend only?

I had to go back and look it up.

Well if it's this weekend only than I'll have to borrow some money from the roommate so I could pick one up tomorrow. I'd rather just get the year for $40 instead of going by month at $10 per.

Persona does have some references to gods, and demons. There is an overarching theme in Persona 4 of a "controller". This one entity takes the "position," or the almighty nature of a god. You do fight that character however. However, I wouldn't say it's anti religion. There are characters that play the role of an omnipotent all knowing entity however, I also think I saw this saw character in the P5 trailer. Might also have been in the other games, I wouldn't know as I haven't played it.
But yeah, nothing is too over the top when it comes to religion. There are a lot of demon and "god-like" names in the monsters you fight and fight along side with. Gods such as in like Greek Mythology, and other sorts of myth type references. Persona names like, "Satan, Loki, Ishtar, Attis, Vishnu, etc."
Even if it doesn't come to Xbox One, I'll just get it on PS4. Just wanted to clear that up for you Shika. But i can understand where you're coming from, I am Catholic.
Edit: SMT 4 is the game I'd say has a LOT more religious themes and dealings with God and an almighty being. Persona 4 is definitely a lot more humorus and light on those tones compared to SMT 4.

Same thing happened to me, if you have an extra save from earlier in the game you can reload it and refight one of the earlier dragons, which should make the achievemnt unlock. My biggest problem was with the Belle of the Ball achievement, I did that quest twice, got 100 approval both times, and it still didn't unlock. Finally gave up on it. |
Thank you so much lol. Thus game was kinda buggy. For example when I play as varric and it does two extra copies of whatever move you do coupled with the jump back move that shoots a ton of arrows the game glitches on me. From mild (the Dragon teleports to a different place) the to extreme (the game just totally gets fucked up and I can't event explain it that's how bad)
Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out
Ps4:110million
Xbox one :75 million( was 65)
Wii u: 20 milliion

Really detailed take on the series, thanks. Some of that stuff doesn't bother me at all, such as the Greek gods, I play SMITE afterall (can't wait for the Xbox One version). Fighting alonside demons, that's a bit more iffy for me. Are you outright forced to summon demons or is it optional? I'll play games where you have the option of summoning demons, Skyrim for instance, but being forced to do it, eh. |
Well I mean you can pick which "personas" to use, but yeah you are pretty much forced during every battle to summon these "personas" that become manifested to fight along side you. It's kind of like a very mature Pokemon that way, but they do take the form and shape of demons. I honestly like the whole concept, but I can understnad it being a putoff to some.
You level them up, they learn new skills in the form of elemental magic, a support, or a physical like move. You can fuse them to create greater personas. That's basically the core gameplay of the series from what I've known from playing over 200 hours in P4. So judging by what you've said, it might not be the game for you in that regard.

Oh yeah Persona 5 on Xbox would be incredible! I'd still buy it on PS4 though. Doesn't mean I wouldn't buy it on Xbox as well though ;) |
Same here.
Have any of y'all heard of the game Darkest Dungeon? I've been watching some people play it on Steam and it looks really fun. Do y'all know if it will be coming to xbox one?
Is the youtuber NorthernLion? That's who I watched play it.
