Visceral Games has released the first details on Battlefield Hardline Open Beta, which will be available for everyone across all formats, offering a variety of multiplayer content to sample ahead of the game's full relelase this March.
In the beta, you'll find two maps and two modes to take for a spin, with various gadgets and weaponry to enjoy. Both Hotwire and Conquest modes will be available, with the former an all-new game type in which players combine "all-out warfare with all-out vehicular speed", while the latter will cater for up to 64-players in a cops and criminals twist on the classic Battlefield mode.
“While it’s just a taste of the whole game, we want you to come in, take your jacket off, stay a while," says Visceral General Manager and Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis. "There won’t be a cap on the max progression level so whether you’re busting criminals or fleeing the cops, unlock away.”
Feedback from the multiplayer beta will be vital to Visceral Games, ensuring that Battlefield Hardline is nice and stable right out of the gate. “We want you to play this beta to death. We need you to," Papoutsis adds. "This test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve. We’ll see you on the streets of Battlefield Hardline soon.”
A date has yet to be revealed for the Battlefield Hardline open multiplayer beta on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC, but you can expect it to drop soon. Any feedback you have from the upcoming beta can be submitted over on the Battlefield forums.
Battlefield Hardline is coming on March 17th in North America and March 20th in Europe. Get some screens from the beta maps below.
