It is nice to see how Sony is treating gamers, now what is MS answer?

Who is Aaron Greenberg? Anyway it was MS who started this and rather many years ago with two timed exclusive DLC's for GTA IV and even this year they continued this with ROTTR, so its even.

As if Sony didn't bought everything during ps1 gen.

Neither will badly be effected.  Microsoft is publishing Tomb Raider and helping in developement.  Square Enix was not happy with the original in terms of sales.  MSFT took lead and likely eased the decision of making Tomb Raider and making it more cost efficient.

Street Fighter V also did not have the budget.  Capcom especially is in trouble.   However Sony doesnt appear to be publishing it (at this moment) so im assuming Sony didnt take complete control.

However theyre both going to miss out on sales, though i expect both will be timed console exclusives as well.  I really dont find it a bad move in either case, smart in fact

One of the Neogaf mods said that Square Didn't need help.

Didn't need =/= didn't want

Square Enix came right out and said they were disappointed with the sales of the reboot so...

They made a profit (finally) with the remaster so....

Guys I was wondering what do you expect from a review from multiplayer standpoint. Break it down

I don't really care for console exclusivity. What I do hate is people screaming hell when the other console maker buys a game but when theirs does it's a nice move and the other people are salty.

Yes I totally agree with you

Same. It's hypocricy at its finest.

Reminds me of Walsufnir's old sig. At the end of the day, BOTH are guily of "moneyhats," or paying for console games to exclude a platform. Hearing the "that company did this first thing, so it justifies that company doing the same thing" is really childish.

BOTH COMPANIES ARE GUILTY OF THIS PRACTICE.

I'm starting to think that I should join the PC master race. Look at most of these 3rd party exclusives so far. Titanfall, Street Fighter 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Rise of the Tomb Raider, SOMA, Project Phoenix, etc. They're all on PC (or are coming to PC in the future) on top of the console that they're exclusive to. Sony and MS are literally paying just to keep these games off of each others' platforms, they're not getting full exclusivity rights. If this 3rd party exclusivity war between Sony and MS continues (and if these rumors about Sony announcing a 2nd third party exclusive this weekend at PSX are true, then I think the war will continue), right now it seems like PC is the one platform where you can play the most games.

Remind me again why I'm a console gamer? It used to be because PC didn't really translate well to living room gaming, but nowadays with Steam Big Picture mode and mini-ITX cases it's not too much trouble to set up a PC in your living room. It used to be because certain genres were mainly on consoles; fighters, racers, etc., but nowadays PC is getting more and more games from these genres, even Japanese games are starting to come to PC more frequently. It used to be because PC gaming was expensive, but nowadays you can build a PC that can compete with the consoles without spending too much more, and the price difference is offset by cheaper games on PC and more frequent digital sales with better prices than you can find during console digital sales. Pretty much the only hold up for me with PC gaming is the fact that you can't really play shooters with a controller on PC, because you'll get owned by the guys playing with mouse and keyboard.

See shifting to master race has lots of benefits however what I recommend is to hit a balance between the two get a mid range pc which satisifies basic needs of the games and then enjoy. I also use my Pc for gaming more specifically mix of two with more time with Xbox. If you are looking to play shooters on Pc be patient I started with Titanfall, initially I sucked I was like 2 kills 7-8deaths, the amount of frustation was too high. With passage of time I learned to play with keyboard and mouse, I would prefer controller over kb/mouse setup because of my experience with controller but I was able to overcome my handicap of kb/mouse setup.

After saying this at the end of the day I am still inclined towards Xbox

I hope Sony acquisitions force MS to really start money hatting. I get that Phil is humble but coming January, he needs to get aggressive to show how committed are they with Xbox.

Somebody should reply to my question as a reader how do you expect a multiplayer review of a game. What components do you think need to get covered and break it down

Well or start investing more in making own studios. Best would be to balance between the two
