People's expectations for single player campaign length is gettng high lol. |
Is that counting side missions? Because I know the main story isn't 30 hours.

shikamaru317 said: ^Yeah, it's 30 hours with side missions included. I think I heard the main story was like 8-10 hours. I only buy singleplayer games if they have an hour of content per dollar. Fortunately for me Infamous will be like $10 by the time I get a PS4 xD |
So much this ^^

12 hours per playthrough, that's 24 hours if you just play the single player with no side missions.
Do side missions plus collect all collectables, you're looking at 30 hours plus. That's on normal difficulty. Have fun on hard ^^
I'm curious what was the big secret announcement about Project Spark? Was it the Linkin Park music video or something else? If that was it, I'm pretty disappointed.

So you missed out on some of the best games of this gen if you look for 60 hours of content from 60$ games.
Bioshock? God of War III? Last of Us?
Basing the value of a game on it's length rather than it's content and/or quality is quite foolish, in my opinion.

Played GOW III and TLOU at my uncle's house. Besides, there is a thing out there called Gamefly.
Edit: Also, games don't stay $60 forever. As you can see from the post I quoted.
Just saying you guys actually believe in the philosophy that a game must have 60 hours of content if it's 60$ is utter BS. The quality of a game shouldn't be determined by it's price. I guess games like GTA IV are supposedly fantastic because you can get hours of content, but in the end it's an overrated game. Perfect example of not basing a games value on its length.
Games with super long single player campaigns tend to get boring and tedious. The missions become repetitive (Skyrim) and you find yourself just playing a fedex employee in a large open world of nothing.
Heck even the new South Park game is about 12 hours, but it's worth the 60$ simply because it's a very good game.
Edit - I'm going to bed so I will not be able to reply.

The fact is, I'm not going to waste my money if I'm not spending a good amount of time in a game. That's the absolute purpose of a Gamefly account or just going to a video store and renting a game. Get the experience without wasting money.
I do have a value in place for games I buy at full price like Halo, CoD, Final Fantasy, etc...... games that I'll only play through once or twice for example Infamous, God of War, etc........ I'll wait for them to drop in price or rent it.
