Forums - Sony - 'Battlestar Galactica' writer working with Sony Santa Monica on non-God of War game

Hopefully its something along the line of the game starwars 1313 which we never got.. expecting a exciting universe and new mascot for Playstation..

Sounds good and most importantly sounds like a step away from GoW

Eurogamer are suggesting that the full 150 man workforce only started working on it after Ascension was finished, so we might not see this game for a while, I would guess the end of 2014 at the very earliest (assuming not everyone was working on Ascension)

Actually, Battlestar Galactica's main story was written by seasoned sci-fi writer Ronald D. Moore.

I haven't even heard of Michael Angeli before this post. According to IMDB he only co-wrote some episodic content for 7 episodes and the bulk of stuff he has worked on is not Sci-fi.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

A sci-fi concept sounds interesting... is battlestar galactica any good, though? Never watched an episode.

it's great, much better than Star Trek, if you know that one.

no first person shooter - could not agree more!! FPS MUST. NOT. HAPPEN.
plase be an rpg - yeah maybe, but prefer something more in SSM's wheelhouse, as RPG as GoW would be fine
please be like mass effect - but not too much like Mass Effect
pmass effect clone please - Not so much

Semi-open world would be on my wishlist.

I'd be in favour of something more Legacy of Kain-esque.

If it turns out to be a FPS, I'm going to quit gaming. All I see for next gen are FPS after FPS after FPS. Can we please get some non FPS scifi games???

Holy shit yes, but please don't be a third person shooter. Sci fi melee combat focused rpg with an open world, come on.

The rumors of the GoW team making some sort of sci fi game, is getting me hyped more and more everytime i hear a new one. I can't wait for the annoucement, even if it's only a CG scene or something similar. Can we hope for a Gamescom annoucement???
