Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is passionate about indies, will reveal strategy “very soon”, says Lionhead

This indie X1 bad rep kinda strikes me as silly.....XBLA and Xbox Indie set the bar for this gen. In terms of quality and sheer quantity.

It ain't like MS never had them on their side, they always did. And now they will keep it strong, that is the luxury of not being released yet, that you can tweak your policies.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Oh joy... now we can get bombarded even more with endless Minecraft clones, classic 8 and 16 bit ripoffs, and free Flash games that should've stayed that way.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

But don't you get it... M$ never does anything right and Sony never does anything wrong!

The OP makes it seem like this was all a plan all along.
This is more like "look how we completely reversed policy again".
Wise decision to approach it this way MS.

I'm not the author, so try harder.

OP doesn't stand for Original poster but original post.

Keep being defensive, it's extremely attractive on a grown man.

they forgot bout them and are like shit we need them bak lol

Interesting....I'm still doubtful.

MS did a lot for indies devs with 360 but I tried to explain in another topic what changed to they get all the hate now.

"In fact this was similar for 360, PS3 and Wii... after Wii U the things started to change with Wii U and PS3 doing a better relationship with indies and 360 staing fixed to the roots... PS4 elevate to a new level and Xbone continue the same with like 360... now MS started to change the things on 360 and soon on Xbone.

It is like the Indies saw the better option on PS3, Wii U and PS4 and started a blame the MS conservatism."

The biggest complain of the Indie comunity are:

- You require a big publisher
- You have a extensive process aprovall for months
- You pay for the patchs and bug fix * MS changed on 360 that two month ago *
- You are not receiving devkits from MS (even if you want to buy one)
- You don't  have a open windows to talk with MS

What MS did for the indies in the life of 360 is not enogh for the nextgen... Indie devs are blaming MS for not evolute thei policies like Sony and Nintendo did.
