Just so people know, the unlock of characters is done at random and at gift points levels. I've unlocked Steve Fox, Alisa and Leo and as there wasn't Lee in the game I'm now using Leo, learning him.

Here is how things are unlocked based on how many gift points you have. I got this game on the irst day of release and only play 5 games here or there for free, I've only just hit 30000 to unlock my 3rd character. If Lee is announced, I'm never going to get him unless they just give me him.
1.000 - 1st
7.000 - 2nd character
10.000 - 100.000 G
20.000 - 100.000 G
30.000 - 3rd character
40.000 - 100.000 G
50.000 - 100.000 G
60.000 - 4th character
70.000 - 100.000 G
80.000 - 100.000 G
90.000 - 5th character
120.000 - 6th character

Leo is a woman her full name is Elenore Kliesen.  I'm almost at 40,000 gift points its going to be a long time before I unlock my next character.

Her full name and gender was confirmed by Katushiro Harada one of the producers of the Tekken series during the premire of Tekken:Blood Vengeance.
