The upcoming PlayStation 4 console will support previous generation PlayStation 3 wireless headsets, Sony confirmed to Polygon.

It still remains unknown whether the new system will ship with its own PS4 headsets, however — comparatively, late last month Microsoft confirmed no Xbox One headset will be included in the base system of the console as the system will instead emphasize Kinect-driven voice inputs. Unlike PS4, previous-generation headsets will not be compatible with Xbox One controllers due to a new headset adapter port.

PlayStation 4 is slated to release this November for $399. Sony is debuting the console during this week's Comic-Con International: San Diego, giving attendees the opportunity to go hands-on with the next-gen system.

Great! I use them a lot and they were a present from the wife, so it's great news to me that I can keep using them for another generation.

Still need to get the Pulse headset, I wonder if the Limited Edition with jack support works with the Vita? Anyone has it and knows?

Yes it does. Bestbuy had a crazy deal when the last of us launched.  Head set and game for 160. Basically you would have got the game for 10. Tobad that one went undunder the raidar

They did the same for when Black Ops2 came out and it sold out fast!

OT:  This is really great news as I love using my headset.  I was afraid that i'd have to end up getting a new one for PS4 leaving my perfectly good working PS3 one to collect dust.

Sweet deal right there...it's still around 150$ in Poland, without any bonus. I may end up with the normal Pulse, as it's about 40$ cheaper, and I don't know whether the Bass Impact, nicer materials and looks, and jack support are worth it. But the Vita support would be a big deal. I'll wait till the holidays, hoping for some nice discounts.

I have both sets. The elites are worth the price. Just keep the rumble down some case ut will ratle you brains out if its set to high.

What about wired headsets? It would be nice to not have to buy another headset that i rarely use anyway.

I hope this includes the headsets that require a USB port like my Astro A50s, I didnt see if the PS4 has an optical out so that becomes an issue as well.
