there will always be room to improve. 20 years from now, we'll be thinking Wow...those PS3 graphics are TERRIBLE....how did ppl play games like that back then???

It's pinnacle will probably be technology that rivals Star Trek's Holodeck. It might not even be like that and instead a technology that interfaces with your mind and places you into a kind of virtual reality in which it really feels like you are a secret agent or playing soccer with some of the World's best teams or whatever.
