Oh come on, the acting was not really bad. Only acting I didn't like were the two scientists, and, to some degree, Rinko Kikuchi. The rest were rather good.

It's better than Man of Steel, massively better than Transformers, and around par with Avengers.
| Andrespetmonkey said: I saw it yesterday, every scene that wasn't an action scene was awful and cheesy (and not in the 'charming' way some of those all action 80s/90s movies were), but holy shit the jaeger and monster fights were incredible. So epic. |
This explains the movie really well. The action scenes were phenomenal but the story and everything else could've been better. It still was a fun movie to watch and would recommend everybody to at least see this just once.
Its not awesome
Its awesometacular. I loved it soooooo much. I mean Robots punching Giant fish how could you not love this? Its like Power Rangers for adults!
Decent, but honestly, one of the most predictable movies I have seen in my life.

The story isn't meant to amaze you. It's the usual Amurica wins and beats everyone story. I think what is so impressive about this movie is the fight scenes. I've never seen anything like this in a movie before. It's so epic and fun to watch giant robots fighting eachother. In a way I wish the Transformers movies were something like this, but they just had to introduce the human characters into the story and I feel like the Transformers have actually taken a back seat in their own movie! I really want a Transformers movie that takes place in Cybertron.

Par with Avengers??!! Did we watch the same Avengers movie? Pacific Rim is above and beyond the Avengers in the action department.
The best movie I've seen this year, by far.
It might not have the best story, most intelligent dialogue, best planned script or all that artsy, witty, intelligent stuff, but dammit if it isn't fun and exciting!!!
Being a huge Mecha fan, I loved the movie all the 3 times I went to see it

I didn't like it that much. I didn't dislike it, I just didn't like it. It was all action, not much plot.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
