The game is so much better than the overrated show. The characters are a lot more well-developed, and the story is a lot better. I also love how, no matter what decision you make, you can't help but wonder if you made the wrong one.

But the choices don't matter... They all come back around to the same thing, you can ever so slightly delay some things but that is it

Guys like you are the reason my magician career never took off (plus all of the dead rabbits). Don't destroy the illusion, bro. That's part of the thrill. For such a low price, you can't expect Mass Effect 2 styled consequences.

Maybe I would have managed, but the game was technically soooo bad. By the end, I never felt an emotional connection to these people, they just felt like attempts to trigger an emotional reaction in me
It's not a video game. It's an interactive show.
A VERY excellent one at that, however. I enjoyed it a lot and highly recommend it to fans and non-fans of the show alike.
Um, what some of you folks mean by it's ONLY point&click game? There's a whole genre called Point&Click adventure, which is very, very old, and, though not mainstream for a long time now, is still very much alive and kicking.
Unfortunately WD is not so stellar example of it - while having a pretty decent story and characters, gameplay elements have really taken a backs seat to everything else.
Honestly, I couldn't see it as GotY even in adventure genre, let alone overall.
Well thanks everyone for answering. I decided to go with it, for the price I couldn't pass it up. Not to mention I've heard great things about it too and I enjoy the tv series.

It's okay I guess. Definitely not GOTY in my eyes. I like more interactivity in my games. Played it when I was tired or had a few spare minutes. The story was engaging though and I got it for under $10 on PS3, so in that sense it was worth the experience. Would I like more games to follow that mold? Nope ... but I'd like for the creators to finish what they started with other installments.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
It was good value getting the whole series from the xbla christmas sale. The game peaked for me in the 3rd episode, then it never reached that height again. By the end you're all too aware that the choices don't mean a thing which removes the only strength the game has next to story. I still had to know how it would end, but my initial plan to do multiple playthroughs with different choices was aborted early.
I thought it was really good, if you like story driven games.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
