Well, PC games are barelly tracked on this site.
And except StarCraft 2, there no big chances for other games pass 2 mln. in 2008.

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I'd say Tekken6 is at the most 10%.

GeoW2 - certainly

RE5 - possibly, depends on how many people buy the PS3 version
R6: Vegas 2 - likely
Fable 2 - possibly
Halo wars(?) -possibly; very different game from Halo, may sell on name alone
GH4(?) - certainly

Wii:
SSBB - certainly
Mario Kart - certainly
GH4(?) - certainly
Mario party 9 - (if released) certainly

It's still way too early to guess what games will be best sellers in at the end of 2008.

Who would have guessed in Feb 2007 that Mario Party 8, Mario & Sonic, Wii Fit, Wario Ware, Paper Mario, Big Brain Academy would all be multi million sellers?

It really won't be until late summer until we even know what the full release schedule for 2008 will be.

What, are you crazy?!? Oh, I forgot...:)

There will be loads of PC games released and passing 2 million wordwide in 2008. And at least two of them will be Sims 2 expansions/spinoffs :)

If Nintendo CAN get Animal Crossing Wii out before Christmas worldwide, I'd say it has a pretty good chance. Each iteration of it has sold better than the last.(Wild World has sold over 8 million world wide)

BTW, on the PC side, Spore stands a good chance of passing 2 million, all depends on WHEN they get it out this year.

 10% of all the threads in here are dedicated to the belief of near supernatural sales levels of this, so I think it was/is expected by a whole lot to be a multi million seller. Those other games are a tad more obscure though, possibly with slightly less appeal overall.
