I think a lot of PS3's games will be million seller ( Resistance 2 , White Knight Story , Little Big Planet , PES 2009 , Fifa 09) but not double million seller , thanks to the small market (probably about 18 millions of PS3 in 12/31/08 )

well, i added CoD5, because if game would be good, and previous cod3 did over 3 mln. on all consoles, then after CoD4 succes(BRAND) + BIGGER PS3/x360 user base it probably will surpass 2 mln. on both consoles. =)

@DMeisterJ, somehow, almost evey NFS reach over 3-4 mln. TOTAL sales, so it most likely to pass 2 mln. atlest on PS3.

@thekitchensink, only first Splinter cell crossed 2 mln. mark, maybe SC:C will also pass 2 mln. BUT mostlike not in 2008.
Tom Clancy Rainbow Six: Vegas has some chances to pass 2 mln. on x360, if it will be a good game.
Fatal Frame 4 - no sales of previous series.
Wii fit came in 2007.
"All the sports games you somehow put for PS3 but mysteriously forgot to put for 360."
soccer is more popular in europe ad on ps3.

@John_Doe, Fable 2 has chances.

@Magnific0, SC never passed 2 mln.
B5 need 40k weekly sales, not happen.
DMC4 probably will end with 1-1,5 mln.

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

1-1,5 on each console. =)
DMC did around 2.77 mln. on PS2 only.

p.s. PS3 will reach minimum 20 mln. sold consoles by the end of 2008. That as much as Wii sold today.
p.p.s. with 299$ price, i expect many ps2 users to jump to ps3 this year.

The amount of PC million sellers will also be vast this year, possibly trumphing any of the home consoles. It depends a little on release dates and perhaps marketing, which the PC gets awfully little of these days.
