Nevermind just got it on Bestbuy (same KZ bundle). Slower shipping but still free shipping.  If I really can't sell the other one for $1000 or something goes wrong then I'm just going to give it to my gf because she's getting a new TV and we can game together while I'm gone at school win win!

Nothing wrong with trying to make a buck off it. But please don't make the mistake in thinking it is a risk free proposition though. Unless you are selling to someone you know and trust transactions can and do go wrong in these situations, at $1000 there will be quite a potential for a lot scammers seeking opportunity.

you only accept through paypal and don't do anything till the payment goes through to your account.

As my friend found out that is no guarentee, if the account used for purchase is stolen the transaction can be reversed leaving you in a sh1tty position. While it may not end up costing you anything in the long run assuming you stick to all the policy rules you can end up with a lot of wasted time and time where you have neither money nor product.

his paypal account was hacked?  That sucks.  So the money was already transferred to him and someone took it back?

paypal took it back. He was paid via paypal from a verified account, however the account used to pay with was hacked/stolen so paypal reversed the payment even though the transaction had been completed, leaving him to argue with paypal to get his money. Eventually he got it back, but their are plenty of examples of people that didn't fare so well.

I did not intend to do this but I may become a scalper.  I'm already seeing PS4 preorders go up to $800.  I have the KZ bundle with Plus on preorder on Amazon.  They just ran out of PS4s and so has Gamestop apparently.  PS3 still has an awesome lineup including a REAL Ratchet this Fall so I don't even feel like I need PS4 right away.  I think I'm gonna take advantage of this offer because you only get one chance to make hundreds of dollars of profit like this per gen.  I'm a college student and need the money anyway so people with disposable income are welcome to pay over $1000 for me to change the shipping address.  Gotta love limited supply!

Anyone been in this situation before and which decision did you make?  Did you sell or keep?  Did you regret your decision or were you happy at the end?  When is the best time to sell a preorder profit wise?

EDIT:  I am being patient and I do really want it at launch so I'll start my bidding at $1000 a couple weeks before launch and see if I get any bites.  If no one bids then I'll keep it and enjoy KZ and Knack on launch day.  If they do then I'll enjoy all the awesome PS3 titles coming this holiday (see first post on page 2).

Well, not exactly the same, but I bought my little bro a Wii for his Bday/Xmas present (around the same day.)  It was one of those 'big' birthdays.  He we so excited and I knew his kids would be happy as they loved playing mine.  I had spent several months saving up (also got him extra controllers), and the NFL game that year - he loves US football like an Oil Tycoon love subsidies.  It was a fancy US Football game with a hologram on it.   I had also got some games for his kids – they loved Diego and there is a little kid Diego game. I also got his wife an exercise game that I thought she would like too.

People were amazed how generous I was, but I’m not sure why, I usually give someone a rather generous present every year (I have a huge family – so they have to take turns getting lucky.)  I was a little surprised they were surprized, as I had given him a Dreamcast +2 memory units + whole bunch of accessories, and that year's football game, a decade earlier a previous big birthday.

So, well, to make a long story short – his wife through a huge fit and wouldn’t let him accept it.  (She is a bit of a dementor.)  Something about how they can’t control their older kid or something like that – they were going to try to sell it as use my cash.

Anyway, posted an add Xmas eve for just a little bit more than was paid (still, mint, used in the box and sold out all over town.)  You would think, hey, this is someone trying to get out of a terrible mess and make a kid happy and a tiny bit of profit to go with the sadness of a spouse ruining (another) holiday.  Nope, people just called the seller terrible things.

I ended up returning it to the store and losing money.  The store employees were none to pleased either as so many people had wanted them for the holiday.  I didn’t get all my money back either.

So tried it, but literally the day before, didn’t work.

Followup -  So they said they couldn’t handle their kid if he had a video game - something, something, can't control him – they got him a 3DS shortly after, he already had another video game, and bro would still play his Dreamcast.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Just wait for launch day, you could sell it for 1000's on ebay. Lots of people do that.

You are a very bad person.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I was thinking of selling my PS4 preorder too, but there just is no real risk-free way to do so. I might end up just cancelling it because I don't think I really need a PS4 on the launch day. *sigh* Too many scammers, too many crazy people. Not worth trying.

I wanted to get one at launch but I no longer can since I won't have spare money for several months. But hey if you feel like it's a good idea then go for it no one can really stop you.

I would sell it, launch models always have a higher failure rate so profit.

sell and make a profit
I bought 12 wiis when they first came out and made £2000 profit
it's just business!
