well the ps3 version is PATHETIC.. and japanese gamers dont own a xbox.. so japanese gamers would buy it

maybe not a steady framerate, but the visuals were still on par for the ps3 version. Still had an enjoyable experience with it. Not sure what the Japanese thought of it.

Did you experience issues post patch?

Not anything that I can recall, no. I did, however, get a lot of game overs. :P I remember the opening sequence looked slightly muddier in terms of visuals compared to the rest of the game but other than that, I don't think I had issues. Did the patch fix it all?

What I suggested is to have a digital download code of Bayo1 for eShop on the 1st or 2nd shipments of Bayo2 to increase sales. They could sell the game for $15-$20 but give a free download to those who purchase the game on it's first release. This probably wouldn't happen because Nintendo's marketing team sucks monkey balls; but hey if Kamiya got wind of this idea there's a chance!!! Hey they did this for Arkham City for the X360 when it came out (I bought it 1st day at Walmart because it included Batman AC included AA) so it could happen.

That's the reason why I am holding out on Bayo1 for my 360 as I am hoping Nintendo/Platinum gives it out as a bonus for buying Bayo2 on launch day!!!

i like my franchises to stay in the same family. I didn't play the original, and if the port was made, both games would be day one as i'm not a fan of starting games with sequels. Whats that do for your theory?

I think there is more than one reason to assume; the japanese missed out. Even Platinum feels bad for them.

That actually would be ideal, they did something like that with Kid Icarus 3D remake when they dropped Uprising, although that was with pre-orders.

Yeah, if they make Bayo 1 into an eShop downloadable title and package it with Bayo 2 it would increase the value preposition in getting Bayo 2 on it's launch window. It helped me and couple of people pick-up Arkham City when they packaged Arkham Asylum with the game during it's launch window.  I also proposed the same thing for X...but seeing how well Xenoblade did, that game should sell at least 400K-500k on it's launch window alone without promotions.  I'm excited for Wonderful 101 and Pikimin 3 and hoping Nintendo does a similar promo with what they are doing for SMT IV & FireEmblem to move these units; since they still need an established fanbase!!!

A remake or re-imagining would be good.

The original game, i have played recently on the 360 and it has plenty of flaws. It wouldnt even sell what it originally did if it was today.

Porting the first game to the Wii U will be a no-brainer for Sega imo. It would be as cheap as chips to do for starters and should sell a decent amount with very little marketing.

That's why as a freebie DLT(downloadable title)  for the first print of Bayo2 isn't going to be bad.  Plus they could optimize the game to make use of the hardware and cut out any screen tears like they did with NG3.
