doubt it, but why even try. Ipod have super small sizes. You could easily buy an external tripple the size of whatever your ipod is for like $30.

Probably not. Apple is kind of stingy that way.

Even more to the point, why would you want to? Like irstupid said, just get an external. A few seconds on Amazon found this:

I'm sure you can find something bigger or cheaper if you try.

There are software's that allow you to use an iPod as flash storage.

However, the WiiU is compatible with certain external HDD's, so upon making your iPod accessible, there is no guarantee that it would work.

Basically every iPod that doesn't run iOS can do this since the original iPod (of course it was a FireWire drive since USB 2.0 wasn't ready for primetime yet).  In 2001 it was the cheapest external 1.8" hard drive you could buy, and I read of people using them as boot devices for setting up server farms.

Of course this doesn't mean it will work with the Wii U.  If I had access to my Wii U right now I'd try it out with an old shuffle.

What about "he doesn't want to spend money" or "he wants to use $50 to buy a new game instead"?

He has a justification to try. Remember iPod classics aren't exactly lacking on the storage department.

Yes, but he mentions needing to buy a charger. iPods newer than 3rd generation can charge via USB, so there'd be no need for a charger. The biggest this thing can possibly be is 40 GB, and it's probably smaller. There's half a chance a flash drive would be cheaper than the charger.

I think you can do it on a computer, not sure about Wii or Wii U.
If I had to guess I would say no.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

That's not entirely clear, he could just be referring to the dock cable which can easily be found in dollar stores.  The use of the term "iPod classic" sort of suggests it is a newer model since Apple didn't start calling it that until about the time they stopped updating it.  Also, I can't see how you would use an early FireWire-based iPod on a USB port.
