Steel Driver is NOT an IP from Shigeru Miyamoto!
His last projects on which he worked, were Super Mario 3D Land, Skyward Sword and Luigi's Mansion 2. Now he's working on Pikmin 3 and his new IP.
People really should get their facts straight before they say stuff that aren't true...

Sadly I don't think so...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Was Steel Diver any good? I opted to buy Pilotwings Resort instead.

I heard it was a lot of fun, but not nerly worth the launch price.

In other words it should have been an e-shop game.

He was the designer of it, but I'm pretty sure he came up with the idea. The game was supposed to be made for the ds, but it was scrapped, so I'm not sure if they changed up the roles of the devs between ds and 3ds.

Yes. I think this title - as well as the new title from Yoshiaki Koizumi - are going to be all-new experiences. I believe these are the titles that Iwata spoke in saying they are non-traditional and that they are keeping them secret so that they will not be copied. I think they will also be out by 2014.

I think these titles will be an all-new type of gameplay, and they will use the Gamepad heavily. I imagine two players using gamepads in a room, targeting each other and moving the pad to deflect attacks... kind of like a virtual game of catch... or various events happening on the TV screen (ie a WW2 style warzone with mortars crashing here and there) and a player using the second screen to move and dodge and navigate (ie through a trench in first-person perspective)

Whatever they are, I expect true innovation in terms of gameplay. The theme of the games will be secondary. Very exciting. These games could be system-sellers.

well, maybe it 'll be as revolutionary as...
wii music??!!

the guy is ca 60.I think most artists, even the most creative were not close to revolutionary when they passed the 60.
Neither kubrick nor Chaplin.
I'd be happy when the game is "just" very good and feels"new"

What about Kurosawa, Bergman, and Altman?

@OP: It's pretty hard to make a revolutionary game. But I expect his game to be brilliant, since he's the best game maker of his or any other time.
