It is basically a secondary console which isn't a bad thing but I don't see value in buying one until it drops to $199. If I have to purchase another console just to play third party games then there is no reason to buy a WiiU until the exclusive library is huge and the console is cheap. No third party support is going to kill this console.

Its just a shame that so many games got delayed, had Pikmin, Rayman, W101, Wii Fit all been released by now and combined with Lego City+Game & Wario that would give it an exclusobe each month in the first half of the year. Having a few high quality excluwives would actually give them a reason to advertise so we would actually be seeing commercials. The only other thing is they should only have one sku at $299. Combine those things and I think Wii U would have sold close to 5 million by now.

The titles you listed seem good, but not really heavy hitters. I think they should've had a Mario kart or smash to go along with the wii u too.

They may not be heavy hitters, but they're infinitely better than nothing, which is what we got.

Well, can't argue with the facts xD

I believe Wii U would be in a very different place right now had Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends arrived (exclusive) within the launch window, and Wonderful 101 between then and now.

No there not huge but they would keep sales from plummeting so low, it would essentially double the amount of exclusives ehich is what people buy Nintendo consoles for. I doubt sales would be huge but a solid 1 million extra Wii Us could have been sold.

Specs yes, it's powerful enough to provide great games.

Sales no, it's doing horribly. The lack of games deserves backlash as well.

This.

Heck, if they would have had a decent advertisement campaign along with some games they would have been in a much better place.

Not sure what happen to the great advertising during the wii era. Seriously did Nintendo just hire a brand new team that sucks or have they just ignored advertising all together.

I honestly don't know, it boggles the mind that the company that so brilliantly advertised the Wii and even did a pretty good job with 3DS more recently could do such an abysmal job with the Wii U.

It's like Nintendo made a list of all the ways they could screw up Wii U's first 9 months, and made sure to tick every box.

With friends like Nintendo's PR and management, who needs enemies?

They concentrated way to much on the game pad too. There's a problem when a core gamer like me doesn't even know what the console looks like. Maybe they thought they could just ride the wave of the wii name, not sure.

Could you cut the quote tree, I'm on my mobile lol
