Wii U is, and will continue to be my main console throughout the upcoming gen. I can forfeit a lot of 3rd party games in favour of Nintendo games. Also there will be exclusives such as Bayo 2, Sonic, W101, X, 3rd party multiplats that are coming this year are all high quality. I still feel that when the install base grows, Wii U will at least get a few future multiplats to fill some of the gaps.

hmm my assumptions on this matter might be completely wrong then. I mean the sample size is small, but still. I personally thought it would be the other way around. Do people like all of Nintendo franchises or something? I personally only like a select few like ssb, metroid, and something else I'm forgetting.

Also it is looking like the Wii U is going to be the place to go for Indie games in the future. That is another plus

I game on Nintendo and PC, I don't consider PC a console so...yes, Wii U will be my main console.

If I had the choice between playing only SSB or the entire 3rd party catalog for an entire generation I would still choose SSB. (With over 1000hrs clocked in SSBB last gen I probably kinda did that anyways...)

It would be the same for Sony or MS franchises, some people like all of their exclusives and some only a few. The same thing applies to Nintendo, the only difference is that Nintendo IP's tend to be more popular than Sony and MS ones, so it's natural to find more people who like this games.

I think ( i may be wrong) that a high percentage of Nintendo fans like a majority of their franchises. After all there is quite a few to choose from, with a lot of variety. Usually im a multi console owner, but im trying to save money. Therefore Nintendo will get my gaming budget as their franchises appeal to me the most.

It's my main console at the moment. The 360 is rarely used now.

Once I get the PS4 (12 months after launch at least) I wouldn't really have a main console. Each would have its use.

PS4 - Multi-plats
WiiU - All the amazing Nintendo games.

Wouldn't that kind of make wii u a secondary console then? You listed the same thing as me, unless our defs are different.

Technically it might, but I'll probably rack up roughly equal time on each. Super Smash Bros will be getting a lot of playtime!!

PC first, Wii U second, PS3 rapidly overtaking Wii U again.

The Wii U is my main console. The Wii was mine last gen too. I have a Ps3, i just dont use it that much.

Im still undecided on whether or not ill get a Ps4.

Ya, but I assumed even with liking the majority of nin exclusives, most main consoles would be the other two. They have first party and all the third party support you will need. Though again I guess, it's all up to personal taste.
