Forums - Sony - Sony's DualShock 4 light bar can't be turned off to save battery

I will still have to sit or stand 2 feet away from whatever device or wall outlet I am charging it from.

Just get a USB extension lead. You can get them up to 20m for less than $3 on ebay. But don't let that stop you talking nonsense.

Don't know if someone mentioned this yet but Xbox One has rumbling triggers, I'm guessing they would rumble in a shooter. That will drain the battery a lot faster than some simple LED light.

BTW, rechargable bluetooth controller > non-rechargable controller that needs batteries.
If you say otherwise you are completely delusional.

Why are you so defensive?

Anyway, the Xbox One, like the Xbox 360, likely will disable rumble when the battery drops below a certain level.  The Xbox One controller also can connect, via Micro-USB cable to function without batteries at all.  And you can purchase a rechargible battery pack for the Xbox One.  To say otherwise, you are completely delusional.

This article isn't about the Xbox One or about Kinect.  It's about the DS4 and the PlayStation Camera.  Learn to ignore off-topic comments, state your point about the topic, and move on.

Sounds like you're the defensive one. I mean you called me delusion, that's a full on attack right there.

If you are going to continue to make a huge deal out of this then go ahead. Have fun.

It's ridiculous that I even had to make this comment. I mean seriously? People are making a big deal out of this?

You must be new to the internet...or at the very least, this website.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

@Eightball
Find more than 1 site that does an actual comparison between the X1 and DS4 controller and declares the DS4 the winner.

Good thing it comes with a 1000ma internal rechargeable battery. Why can't I turn off the indicating LED on my DS3 while we're at it. People are desperate to find a flaw with the PS4. I hope that author has fun changing out his AA batteries on the other system. Honestly if this is the best they can come up with, the the PS4 is going to dominate more than we think.

Are we referring to me, the OP, or to the author of the article in the OP?

It was sarcasm directed at the author of the article... This is such a non-issue it is laughable that people are trying to find anything they can to ding the system.

*yawn*

@JerCotter7
Too much input lag

@Eightball
Yeah there aren't any. Yawn away. 90s design concepts don't make better controllers. Offset sticks is better.
