I took that test in the OP and really, I couldn't give a good answer on almost any of them because the way I answered them don't quite reflect my feelings on a lot of the situations.

Regardless, here are the results:

Economic Left/Right: -4.38

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.95

The political compass scale didn't work for me. I scored a mildly authoritarian left. I also know for a fact I am mildly right and significantly libertarian.

I also didn't like half the questions because I felt they had mistaken assumptions.

According to the examples the closest person I'm with is Nelson Mandela, which I'm really happy with. Looks like I'm very neutral since I'm almost dead center.

Not true.. we vote for Conservatives maybe.. but the right.. as we know them today.. are not exactly conservative.. or at least not the way we like them to be.. (Limited Government for instance.. on all fronts.. )

But as soon as you are muslim you can hate gays,treat women bad,can hate jews and be member of the wahibis/salafis or some other racial muslim group-the leftist won't say a word.they will like and tolerate you.

left right is just to pervert peoples integrity into blind loyalty.it works the same way like the army drill(the soft version of it (stop thinking,be part of the group and follow the words of your leader)

What does right or left mean? Big government versus small government? Libertarianism versus authoritarianism? Nature versus nurture? Globalism versus anti-globalism?

Really, with so many distinct sets of opposing pairs you can come up with, it becomes a bit hard to basically shove everyone nto two opposing bulks doesn't it.
