Nintendo Wii by generations...

1. Wii

2. Wii U

3. Wii O U

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)

1. Kinect is not the best thing right now. You need to see Motion gaming is dead. It just couldnt get popular.

2.  Titanfall is possibly coming to PS4, and not to mention its on PC so its not EXCLUSIVE to XB1. Ryse looks HORRIBLE, i mean the basic elements of it seems cool, but everything else just turns me off.  Dead Rising 3 i have to admit that game looks pretty good, but its only Exclusive becasuse Microsoft waved their money hand around. it originally was gonna be on PS4.  Quantum Break  GIVE ME A BREAK. how can you say a games gonna be good, when they didnt even show gameplay of it???

3. XB1 is going to fail, at least in its first year, because Microsoft has showed the gaming community their true Money grieving side.

Anyone believing the xbox one has a fighting chance outside of the US this gen is either living under a rock or ignoring the mass of polls and opinions in heavy favor of ps4, even in the US the xbox one is going to struggle to be a contender.

You can disagree if you want but be warned in a years time when the results are in i'll dig this thread up from the grave and make a new thread aimed specifically to laugh at you.

Or... they're not ready to make a snap judgement when each system is still several months away from launch?

snap judgements based on info flowing about both systems for the past 6 months?? for systems potentially as low as 3 months away from release?, could it be that the vast majority made 'snap judgements' or that a small minority are simply unable or unwilling to accept that Sony will dominate this coming generation?

microsoft had all the advantages they could want, a year to a year and a half (in some regions) headstart, much cheaper system, better multiplat games in most cases, better pr, better media support, better developer opinion (easier to xode for) and competition from a console which was the opposite of all those things, and even with such a wide advantage its now dead last in sales, it took several years sure, but it happened, and were going into this next generation with things basically set like they were for the PS2, anyone thinking the xbox one has a chance is lying to themselves.

When the PSP and DS were anounced, the concensus was that the PSP had a great chance of dethroning Nintendo.  Three months after the 3DS came out, people were ready to declare it dead.  There was even a rather large contingent that thought that the Vita would pose a very credible threat to the 3DS if not outright beat it.  Up until about three years into the console cycle, the idea that the PS3 would overtake the 360 was just about unthinkable.  And pretty much nobody, aside from some Nintendo employees, really foresaw the Wii  selling the most of this generation.

Anyone thinking the XBox One doesn't have a chance is being incredibly shortsighted. For that matter, so is anyone discounting the Wii U.

Isn't Spain like 80/20 for PS3? I know it's some really high percentage. I thought almost every country in the EU except U.K was in favor of PS3 before and currently.

I don't think it's that high. If memory serves me right, it's similar to France's ratios.

Spain is definitely a "playstation country", since ps1 era, and PS3 probably have, if not the best, one of the best ratios of the world. Wii was very popular, like everywhere else, but the console gaming is basically asociated to Playstation, or "la plei", like we say here.

Huh, I wasn't aware of that. The 80/20 could be an accurate ratio if that's the case.

PS4 may very well be the first time that the most powerful console wins a generation.

Microsoft's error may be the same as Nintendo's. Nintendo saw unprecedented success under the Wii brand and they were hoping that lightning would strike twice. They don't have the consumer friendly price, the addicting must have software, or the buzz and excitement that they had before. Plus, parents and females don't think "Hey, this is a healthy way to let kids play games" or "Wii Fit will make me lose 100 pounds".

On the Microsoft side of things, they also saw tremendous success with Kinect. The promises that Kinect made are really what helped them stay ahead of PS3 as long as they did. Unfortunately for them, Kinect worked decently but never lived up to the promise. Aside from a few good titles, the games never came, either. Like the Wii, a lot of consumers felt burned by the purchase.

Lucky for Sony, they didn't burn a lot of people because Playstation Move never really took off like Kinect and Wii did. They aren't banking on some (for lack of a better word) "gimmick" that hooked consumers once. They're just relying on giving traditional gamers what they want.

Europe isn't 50/50

What gave you the impression it was?

Right now the proportion is 56% PS3 - 44% X360 between the two in Europe, BUT, x360 debuted in EU on December 2005 and PS3 on March 2007.

There's no reason the X1 would beat the PS4 even in NA, let alone Europe.
Resounding no.

PS4 has no chance to win in North America. Microsoft will make sure of that.

Pity that they havent thought of making sure of it so far.
