In a recent interview with Japanese publication CG World the development team at Monolith Soft revealed that the Kyoto team helped out with some of the graphics in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and more recently in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The interview sheds some light on the company’s new studio in Kyoto, which was created so that the team could work closer with Nintendo. It genuinely sounds a great place to work.

Confirmed: Nintendo's internal studios can't even make their own games by themselves anymore.

it's 1st party studio as Retro or for example SRD is so nothing surprising, and it's nothing new.

Oh no! First Party Studios helping other First Party Studios! Never happened before!!!

But back to topic, this isn't new at all, it is known since forever now.....

The Skyward Sword part is old news. I haven't heard about the AC part before though.

Well, that certainly explains why New Leaf looks so good while all previous AC games looked like ass.
