I prefer the original language, whatever that might be. Usually it's English or Japanese. Oh, my native language is Finnish and I'm so happy we don't get that many stupid dubs. I really hate it.
Always English.
French video game translations especially voice overs are terrible.
Ideally I try to stick with the original content and so if a game is from Japan I'll want Japanese voice overs with English text.
Only in english :P

Yeah I don't mind watching animated movies or cartoons in French because lip synchronization is about the same.

Well... i was talking just about names.
Translation are most of time pretty bad, like in Final Fantasy 7:
"Your party is waiting upstairs"
"Tu fiesta te espera arriba"
I was wondering: "wtf?! It is Cloud's birthday or are we celebrating something?"
But about voices... my congrats to Atlus and Persona 4, and NISA with Disgaea.
In english (Voice and text) they're fucking amazing, and same hilarious than Japanese.
If fact... to keep it with japanese voice and english text is pretty messy, because most of time they're saying different things/expressions.
Native is Spanish and I try to play everything in their original language. I have my console with english as default because some games don't give you the option to choose the idiom and take your console by default and I hate the dubs. All games should come with the choice to enable subs in at least a few languages and let the voices in the original one.
