so my PS3 started makng noise when i enter a disk, it makes this vaibrating noise and when i feel the PS3 its self i can feel some vaibrations, my model is the PS3 160 slim (not super slim)

also note, lately the fan has been making a bit more noise, does anybody know whats going on? and how can i fix things? thanks

Edit : actually the fan now is noisier than it ever was before.

My PS3 slim has also been making that same disc noise including the vibrating, started within the past few months. No fan noise, but my ps3 runs hot, very hot to the touch even. The ps3 makes the noise not all the time but around 25% of the time, the system is mostly used to play movies.

Throw it on the ground! It wont make noise anymore!

First thing I would do is check troubleshooting on Playstation website.
Also make sure the console has plenty of room to ventilate.

ahh I have had 2 ps3's the first huge original died red yellow light. no probs with my slim 2 and half years and going strong.

Time to sell it and buy and 500 GB version :P hehe i wish mine had the same ''problem'' lol i don't wanna break it on purpose but i want to buy a new one so bad!!

But a new HDD and swap it. Restore your game saves. Job done
