Yea, that's Bullshit. If they decide to implement that for 4K content, then those content-providers need to find somebody else to buy the crap (and I'm someone who buys 3D Blu-Rays).

Does it need to be always online ? or it only needs internet connection to watermark the content to the device ?

 

Edit:   Apparentlythe device doesn't have BD drive. So it's like netflix ?

you still own the blueray and can sell it. this is just an anti-piracy solution. not that i agree with it. but they arent restricting used sales.
