Did he just say that Sony just took all off the shelf parts and just put them in the console? And isn't this a hell of a false statement? Pretty sure Sony has done a good amount of customization to their parts too. I guess since they have 5 billion transistors and are using rocket science they are better.

I think he's simply making the point people will opt for games over specs. PS1, PS2, Wii, DS, and 3DS have dominatated with inferior specs to competition.
However, since the XBO and PS4 will have very similar libraries... price is the biggest issue. That's where Sony has the most significant edge to the masses.
