SALES /PLAYER COUNT & DEALS

Get 4X classic Master of Magic free for a limited time
https://www.pcgamer.com/get-4x-classic-master-of-magic-free-for-a-limited-time/
As far as strategy games go, Master of Magic is one of the old school all-timers, right up there with Civilization and Master of Orion. Originally released in 1994, it gave you a settlement and a scout in the traditional manner, but it also made you a wizard rather than, say, boring old Abraham Lincoln. Researching varied kinds of magic let you summon different troops and call down different spells from its selection of hundreds. If you never tried it, Master of Magic Classic is available for free right now on GOG.
>> It's part of GOG's 14th anniversary event and will last 47 hours.

Too bad I bought it there 13 years ago...

Only 13 years? I'm sure you can still ask for a refund.

I mean, like Zkuq said, with how big our backlogs are, have you even be able to play it yet?

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Extensively, especially with the High Men or the Klackons. Though not as much anymore lately...

Well, sounds like you've got your money's worth, which is nice. It's more annoying when you've bought a game, have never had time to play it, and then there's a giveaway later. (I'm personally even more hesistant than before to buy games unless I know I want to play them very soon, and I was hesitant before due to the size of my backlog.)

Sounds like you know the game very well.

I know what you mean. Especially with the Epic Store giving away games every week.

Sackboy coming to PC is great but I wish we would get legacy collections like they had on the PS3.

More games is always better, but I really, really doubt we'll get ports of games that haven't launched in the 2nd half of the PS4 lifespan.

And I think it's nearly impossible to get any game or collection that hasn't launched on PS4 or PS5 as well.

Which is why they should - for both PS5 and PC I mean lol.

With another company, I'd say that it won't happen, but Sony has launched The Last of Us three times already (the original, the remaster and the remake), so yeah.

I wouldn't bet on it, but with Sony there's a slim chance that it may happen.

Microcenter Is Giving Away A Free 32 GB DDR5 EXPO Memory Kit & $20 US Off on Each AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Purchase

https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7000-desktop-cpus-free-32-gb-ddr5-memory-kit-20-us-off-at-microcenter/

Typically not a good sign to have such a good deal a day or two after launch. Ryzen 5000 similar to GPUs was used to upsell random components. Oh you want a 5950x? Well you gotta buy this random shit tier motherboard that will burst into flames due to its poor quality that you don't need. This time around though, giving a free ram 5600 DDR5 32GB ram kit + $20? Yea I don't think it's selling all that well. Maybe once the B series launches, the lower end parts will get a boost but Raptor Lake with 8 additional small cores and cheaper Z690 boards looking mighty tempting.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 CUDA Benchmark Shows A 60% Improvement Over The RTX 3090 Ti

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-cuda-benchmark-shows-60-percent-improvement-over-the-rtx-3090-ti/

Not that it matters much for the 4090 cause the 4080s are the real cause of tension this time around

USB kills off SuperSpeed branding as it tries to simplify its ubiquitous connector

https://www.theverge.com/2022/9/30/23378231/usb-rebranding-2022-logos-gbps-wattage-charging-transfer-speeds-simplification-usb4-superspeed

You know what, I don't mind this branding change. It makes it a lot easier for people to know what they are getting. Lets just hope they don't rebrand next time around...
