Maybe I haven't expressed myslef as I sould: The 120GB Green SSDs are pointless compared to the bigger and better SSDs you can also get if you're one of the three lucky winners.

I could have understood a prize with, for example, a 120GB M.2 Black with a 500GB SSD Green, but the other way around leaves me wondering why they've chosen these prizes and in these sizes.

120GB SSD's today tend to be fairly terrible anyway.
I wouldn't settle for anything less than a 500GB drive these days, 240GB if you need something cheap/don't care about performance.

Heck... First thing I did when I got my Dell Inspiron 11 was to drop in a Crucial 500GB drive, 32-64GB should be illegal in 2018.

Overwatch update replaces Hanzo's Scatter Arrow and introduces the new map Rialto
https://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-update/
There's a new Overwatch update out today, and it has a big slate of changes to sort through. The biggest things are the new map Rialto, which we first played through in the PvE mission Retribution, and the long-awaited Hanzo rework, which replaces his Scatter Arrow with a new ability.

The new Hand Soap change actually caught me off guard.
I was getting aggressive as Zarya against a Hand Soap... And the increase in movement capabilities and the new rapid arrow completely blind sighted me, haha.

No, they are pretty cheap.
They make great gifts.

The new WD Black SSDs do look to be, very nice.

They still make for a great gift.
I wouldn't buy one for myself though.

The prize pool is a bit odd.

It's a shame, as more options and competition is always good. Maybe if the cards are actually good, they'll allow them to sell them when there are new GPUs to sell.

But that's nothing new, there are plenty of chinese brands that only sell in China. The only thing new here is that we know the brand.

On another note, Nvidia has killed its GPP shit. But before we atart celebrating it, we should wait and see if the brands come back to using their gaming brands with AMD GPUs, or if the damage is already done.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Destiny 2 is the main game of the current Humble Monthly Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly

So you get Destiny 2 and a handful of other games for just €10.39 / $12.

PS.: I really like that game so far, but I only played it an hour yet.

In this particular case, I don't see that as a bad thing at all.

Asrock can be pretty hit and miss.

My last Asrock board was a piece of crap... The one before it was like the second coming of Jesus, I just wasn't able to kill it, even when I overclocked the IGP from 500mhz to 1200mhz and left it that way for a good 5+ years! It wasn't untill a lightning storm hit the phone line and took out the bulk of the PC's in the house that were connected via ethernet that it died.

Maybe because of this, just maybe.

The engine clock is likely just the boost speed, Clocks should have been increased in my opinion, there is headroom.

Interesting how some cards are only 128bit wide on the memory bus.

Lots of changes on my front. I thought I was done investing in tech this year but apparently not. Everything is concerning my PC gaming setup.

First things first, I finally got my KBM combo for my SPC. Which means no more carrying around my wireless KBM and forgetting it at the desk when I go back. It's a cheap ASUS combo. It's good enough for clicking and typing, which is more than enough.

Yesterday my modem fucked up again. after unsucessfully fiddling around with it I replaced it with themodem/router from my ISP. That also meant I had to cut off my trusty Cisco ASA 5506X which served as my router for years. I don't lament it too much because I know that its days are numbered anyway due to a hardware bug that will make it shut down eventually. Better switch now before it happens suddenly.

The problems started when I tried to play RL. I had terrible lag spikes because the shitty router from my ISP can't handle all of my heavy and mixed traffic very well. No configurable QOS either. So that basically ended my RL plans for this weekend. But you all know me, I do not tolerate when something ruins my RL experience and I am going to throw money at my problems until they go away.

So I bought this:
https://www.pcgamer.com/wifi-router-of-the-year-asus-rog-rapture-gt-ac5300/
I don't give a shit about the wireless but I am very much interested in the WTFast network, which supports Rocket League. It promises fast paths to RL servers and priority. Looking very much forward to trying this out. This monster and a new VDSL modem will arrive tomorrow. It's gonna be fun.

Also arriving tomorrow will hopefully my Oculus Go. It's supposed to replace my current GearVR with slightly better visuals. Now that I switched from local storage to DLNA streaming I can use a nice standalone VR device.

So yeah, stay tuned for Monday. It's gonna be a doozy.
