Lots of changes on my front. I thought I was done investing in tech this year but apparently not. Everything is concerning my PC gaming setup.

First things first, I finally got my KBM combo for my SPC. Which means no more carrying around my wireless KBM and forgetting it at the desk when I go back. It's a cheap ASUS combo. It's good enough for clicking and typing, which is more than enough.

Yesterday my modem fucked up again. after unsucessfully fiddling around with it I replaced it with themodem/router from my ISP. That also meant I had to cut off my trusty Cisco ASA 5506X which served as my router for years. I don't lament it too much because I know that its days are numbered anyway due to a hardware bug that will make it shut down eventually. Better switch now before it happens suddenly.

The problems started when I tried to play RL. I had terrible lag spikes because the shitty router from my ISP can't handle all of my heavy and mixed traffic very well. No configurable QOS either. So that basically ended my RL plans for this weekend. But you all know me, I do not tolerate when something ruins my RL experience and I am going to throw money at my problems until they go away.

So I bought this:

I don't give a shit about the wireless but I am very much interested in the WTFast network, which supports Rocket League. It promises fast paths to RL servers and priority. Looking very much forward to trying this out. This monster and a new VDSL modem will arrive tomorrow. It's gonna be fun.

Also arriving tomorrow will hopefully my Oculus Go. It's supposed to replace my current GearVR with slightly better visuals. Now that I switched from local storage to DLNA streaming I can use a nice standalone VR device.

So yeah, stay tuned for Monday. It's gonna be a doozy.
