I think AoE remake and AoE 4 will flop on the store alone tbh.

I am a massive Age of Empires fan. Microsoft has already lost a sale here by not having it on Steam.
The memories of Games For Windows Live are still fresh.

NAS would have several disadvantages for me. For one thing it's just another thing gathering dust, for another I really want the optimal read performance and sending it over LAN with a CIFS overhead seems counter intuitive for that. Not to mention the hassle with network drives. The PC I'm using now was once a dedicated file server that housed my storage until I moved it into my new gaming build. I had plenty of experience with that. I don't need to have the storage detached from my PC because I won't use it anywhere else. If I actually need stuff from there on other systems I'm going to use FTP.

I think I'm going to choose 4x 8TB WD Red. Currently I don't even need 10TB of space and I don't want my storage to become too big anyway. I'd rather force myself to clean it up. So 16TB should be plenty for everything for at least the next 5 years.

Not all NAS units need to be tied to your network, some come with eSATA/USB 3/Firewire/Thunderbolt and can connect directly to your PC.
It's like a giant external Hard Drive that can sit next to your rig.

I am at that point where I can't be bothered opening my rig up to swap drives anymore, rather just have them all external. - But I am about to have 30 terabytes worth of storage, so I am not exactly a "casual" user by any means.

The remaster is ugly.

To be fair, it looks better in motion and while you are gaming.

And it was far more impressive looking back in 2009 when it released on the 360.
I did buy a copy. :P Yay.

AoE: The Age of Kings was the last great AoE title.
Eat your heart out, PC!

As long as the game is cut down, from the PC version (meaning, the core design wasn't compromised), I don't really care what platforms it goes to.

When Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings first released my parents were going to buy it for my birthday.
What a fucking disappointment getting Kings Quest instead because they mixed the names up. Hahaha

Thankfully the shop let us exchange it... And I spent years playing it on Zone.com thereafter on my super fast 56k dial up modem, even dialed into my neighbors computer and would play against them on the weekend.

Yeah, I'm not that heavy of a user. I'd rather touch my PC or anything about it as little as possible. I don't really need the expansion of my storage, I'm doing it on a whim because I have to touch my PC anyway. Unless my PC breaks or I have the urge to get a completely new one I won't ever touch my internal storage. I'm hoping I won't touch my SPC at least for the next 3 years. And I mean that literally.
