Different people, different standards. It's all about what you are used to. People who have never experienced anything better than what consoles have to offer will not find any fault with it. People who are used to playing stuff that is double as high fidelity as what consoles have to offer will not be satisfied with it.

That's why there are still people who claim that Nintendo games look AMAZING and that 30fps isn't terrible.

Is that concept hard to understand?

Yeah, I guess I was looking at it through my own lens, I'm sorry.

In things like that it's always good to not only look up but also look down. The console people who are berating PC people for higher standards are the same that shit on people who enjoy mobile games which are in their mind inferior. That's what most people are missing, perspective in both directions.

It's the same with PC fanboys. With their shitty GTX1060 they try to shit on console people just because they can play all games on 1080p60. Above them are the people who wouldn't even look at anything below 1440p120. Above them are the 4k and 8k people laughing. There are always people with higher or lower standards than you so it's not a good idea to go after anyone for their standards.

Except of course Nintendo fanboys. Their standards are garbage.

I don't berate mobile gamers, though I'm a retro gamer, so I enjoy even very simple games like this

As someone who has experienced both True 4k and 8k (downsampled to 4k) gaming: this.
I cannot wait until I can finally move from 4k to 8k properly.

There is always more pixels that can be rendered, and until games are truly scalable: I will have them all.

Edit: I am working on more Nier screenshots, I just need time for them to process.

In the end it's all about choice. Visually simplistic games are fine, the problem starts when your device can only do those things and nothing else.
