Yeah, but you'd think they'd at least doll out textures that weren't upressed. I find the upres route to being lazy at best.
I mean, think of it this way, when 4k is the norm, we'd expect 4k res textures to go with the 4k res right?, but I can imagine devs going with 2k assets and upressing them to 4k, to save on workload and overall effort, which itself would be lazy.
If modders can toss in 4k textures into a game like Skyrim, AAA devs can easily do the same tbf.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE and DRAGON BALL FighterZ will be both using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech
http://www.dsogaming.com/news/final-fantasy-xii-the-zodiac-age-and-dragon-ball-fighterz-will-be-both-using-the-denuvo-anti-tamper-tech/
FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE and DRAGON BALL FighterZ are two highly anticipated new releases. And from the looks of it, both of these games will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Let’s start with the obvious one, DRAGON BALL FighterZ. Bandai Namco has used the Denuvo anti-tamper tech on all of its latest PC releases, so it does not surprise us that its new fighting game will also be using it. Instead of notifying all Steam users from the get-go, though, the publisher has mentioned the implementation of Denuvo in the game’s EULA and not in its Steam store page. As suggested, DRAGON BALL FighterZ will be using both Denuvo and EasyAntiCheat.
On the other hand, Square Enix has included the implementation of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech in FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE’s Steam store page. As the publisher states, the game incorporates a 3rd-party DRM, which is no other than the Denuvo Anti-tamper.

SOS, the social survival game, will release on Early Access later this month
http://www.pcgamer.com/sos-the-social-survival-game-will-release-on-early-access-later-this-month/
What sets SOS apart from other multiplayer survival games is its built-in social element: Players can talk to one another freely through a proximity-based chat (a microphone is required to play) and spectators can listen in on those conversations and throw out emotes in response. It's not the last player standing that counts, then, but the most entertaining—although as we learned in our December preview, a creative killer instinct is obviously a plus. It's been in closed testing for awhile now, but Outpost Games announced today that it will go into Early Access release on Steam on January 23.
