Time for the news. I still have problems accessing DSOGaming, so PS Gamer will again be the main source of news.

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/bandai-namco-support-on-dark-souls-iii-pc-the-plan-is-to-keep-the-framerate-locked-at-30fps/
Dark Souls III is a game that a lot of PC gamers are looking forward to. However, it appears that Bandai Namco plans to lock its framerate at 30fps. While this is not confirmed yet, Bandai Namco’s support claimed that the current plan is to lock the framerate on the PC version.
>>Bad, Bamco, bad! Luckily it won't take long for a mod that unlocks the framerate.
***UPDATE*** Don't worry guys, it's false

PRISON ARCHITECT'S HIDDEN 3D MODE HAS BEEN IN THE GAME FOR FIVE MONTHS
http://www.pcgamer.com/prison-architects-hidden-3d-mode-has-been-in-the-game-for-five-months/
Prison Architect left Early Access back in October of last year, but that hasn't stopped Introversion Software from continuing to deliver monthly content updates to the game. And recently, a rather significant new feature has been discovered that was never in the patch notes; a hidden button that renders out your prison and all of its denizens in 3D, allowing you to zoom in and get a rather unique look at what's always been a flat, top-down game.

That's a good reason to play some more.

A free update to Star Wars Battlefront went live yesterday, adding a new Survivors of Endor multiplayer map that supports the Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point modes, and a new Survival Mission on Tattoine that can be played either solo or cooperatively. Speaking of Solo, it also promises the upcoming arrival of Hutt Contracts, which means you'll soon be able to spend some quality time with everyone's favorite giant space slug.
ASHES OF THE SINGULARITY RELEASE DATE REVEALED IN NEW TRAILER
http://www.pcgamer.com/ashes-of-the-singularity-release-date-revealed-in-new-trailer/
The big hook in Stardock's upcoming Ashes of the Singularity is that it can simulate and display battles involving literally thousands of units on the screen at a single time. It does this through DirectX 12 support, a native 64-bit game engine, and other such techno-magery that mostly goes over my head; the important thing, as the good folks at Maximum PC explain, is that if you've got the rig for it, it (mostly) works. Of course, they're interested in the technology, whereas around these parts, the game is the thing. Which is why you heard it here first: Ashes of the Singularity will go into full launch on March 31.

THUMPER, THE "RHYTHM VIOLENCE GAME," WILL BE OUT LATER THIS YEAR
http://www.pcgamer.com/thumper-the-rhythm-violence-game-will-be-out-later-this-year/
We first heard about the “rhythm violence” game Thumper in late 2013, when Phil described it as “inside a Venn diagram containing WipEout, Audiosurf and Dyad,” and said it was slated for launch in 2014. In 2015, he expressed continuing interest in the game, but updated the scheduled release date to “when it's finished.” And in 2016, Phil has been promoted and so I'm here to tell you that the game is in fact getting closer to launch, and is now set to come out later this year.
ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST DEFINITIVE EDITION DELAYED, BUT ONLY ON THE PC
http://www.pcgamer.com/ori-and-the-blind-forest-definitive-edition-delayed-but-only-on-the-pc/
Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition, a re-release of the gorgeous and thoroughly-good platformer that adds “new areas, difficulty options, and gameplay upgrades,” was originally supposed to be out last fall. Developer Moon Studios announced in December, well after that season had come and gone, that the update had been delayed to the spring of this year, which it recently nailed down to March 11. Just two days ahead of that date, it's been delayed again, but only on the PC. The Xbox One version will go out as scheduled.
>>It's good to know the priorities of certain studios/devs.

Arise, battered and discarded sequel; your service is required once more. After Yager's deal to develop Dead Island 2 collapsed in mysterious circumstances last year—causing the dissolution of the Yager Productions division—the future of the Dead Island franchise beyond misjudged MOBAs and HD remakes has been in limbo. Now it has a developer once more: the UK's Sumo Digital.
GEARS OF WAR 4 'POSSIBLY' COMING TO PC
http://www.pcgamer.com/gears-of-war-4-possibly-coming-to-pc/
Judging by our recent chat with Phil Spencer, if there's an Xbox exclusive that would make sense on PC, it may well turn up on PC, for better or worse. Gears of War 4 is the latest game to may-well-be-turning-up on PC, going on a video interview by Game Informer with The Coalition studio head, Rod Fergusson.
>>Yeah, it can come to PC... and I can also win the lottery, but I wouldn't bet on it.
CANADIAN MYSTERY KÔNA DRIFTS INTO EARLY ACCESS TODAY
http://www.pcgamer.com/canadian-mystery-kona-drifts-into-early-access-today/
Canada is woefully underrepresented in games, which is strange, considering all that wilderness is the perfect setting for strange things to happen. The Long Dark is one of the standouts, leveraging all that isolation and natural beauty to give us a top-notch survival sandbox as it works on its narrative. Arriving in Early Access today, Kôna might beat it to the punch.
