Wait, you bought an adaptor to play american Mega Drive games? Noob

You only had to break a small part of the plastic around the cartridge slot and they would work.

I assure you that they didn't work. I think they did fit, but somehow checked the internals and said the game was not compatible. This was before the internet, and I didn't know games had regions...

Well, I know first hand that they did.

OMG, was I hustled? I was in the UK when I bought that adaptor, damn Brits. Don't remember how much it cost (think it was cheap), when I return to Spain I'll check if there is a price tag.

The SegaCD games do need an adaptor to work on the MegaCD, right? (Now I'm doubting, and I remember that one was expensive)

All I know is that a friend of mine had some american games and that, after "breaking" those little bits of plastic, they worked just fine on my console.

SegaCD games sure were a different thing.

And now let's stop derailing this thread! This is about PC gaming, not our old consoles.

Haven't played much on PC during this past decade (apart from indie games), but I do like talking about technology, laptops, mobiles, etc... Is that allowed here? (or plz show me the way to where that topic is)

As far as I know, everything PC related is welcome here.

I'm always posting new info and rumors about the upcoming Polaris and Pascal cards, for example.

On a side note, since the last Sale I've tried the American Truck Simulator and then the Euro Truck Simulator 2 demos, because I was curious about why they were so popular.

I won't describe the demos besides saying that I've played de American demo 8 hours (I played it three times), and the Euro one 4 hours (only 1 play through), so if anyone wants to try one of them it's better to go for the Euro one, if only because it allows you to buy a truck and so it shows more of the game. That said, there are some differences.

Anyway, I feel the demo makes a good work showing what the game(s) are about and while I'm still not sold, I can certainly see the appeal and why some may enjoy them.

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/street-fighter-v-does-not-currently-punish-rage-quitters/

As we’ve already said, Street Fighter V is a mess and Capcom should had not released this game in its current state. However, this would mean that competitive players would not have the chance to practice in order to get ready for EVO. Yeap, this is the main reason Street Fighter V was released yesterday. And it appears that among all the other issues we’ve mentioned, the game does not punish rage quitters right now.

It will easily beat GTA IV and probably Dark Souls.

Also, Cities Skylines is free to play this weekend! I know what I'll be playing the next days ^.^

Oh wow - didnt know there was gonna be a third round :o!

SoR series is one of the best beat em ups.

Got all three and other Genesis games when I bought the 50+ genesis games pack on Amazon last year when it was $3 lol.

I agree with SoR, but could also be the nostalgia talking. Plus you have to keep us alerted on those cheap deals, you post them here?
