Good news on that Vulkan launch. I really hope Vulkan becomes the defacto API this time rather than a single OS exclusive one.

Oh wow!

I already have Golden Axe from a SEGA pack I bought last year or so and jet Set radio two years ago off of humble store I think.

The other game and its DLC though didnt have - thanks for the info :D

Btw - where do you get your info about these free games/offers from?

It's part of that SEGA deals going on on Steam, Make War Not Love. The first tier has been completed and they second one will be on Thursday.

I finally managed to get a shader pack working for Minecraft.

Not the first time I've dabbled with custom shaders for MC but it's the first time it's running somewhat decently for me (give or take 50fps).

^Good work. It definitely looks better.

Just saw it this morning. Time to attach them to my Steam account

Apparently the other free games will be:

  • Round 2: Streets of Rage 2, Binary Domain, Condemned: Criminal Origins
  • Round 3: Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops, Viking: Battle for Asgard
Gotta get SoR II and Gunstar Heroes.

I played Streets of Rage 2 on my Mega Drive, very good game. After all, it had to compete against Final Fight.

I've never had the chance to play Gunstar Heroes .

Needless to say, I hope I can get them all! (is it me, or that sounded a bit Pokemon-ish? ).

I bought the Genesis version when I was once in the States... I was so let down when my MegaDrive would not let me play it. Had to buy a cartridge to fool it. Same thing with some SegaCD games I got (I think it was Sherlock Holmes), bought a really expensive cartrige in "El Corte Ingles" that let me play those. Not sure if those things have any resale value now xD

I've played many times through Streets of Rage 2, it's perfect designed to blast away with friends and my sisters during any odd afternoon.

Wait, you bought an adaptor to play american Mega Drive games? Noob

You only had to break a small part of the plastic around the cartridge slot and they would work.

Regular:

"Modded"

I assure you that they didn't work. I think they did fit, but somehow checked the internals and said the game was not compatible. This was before the internet, and I didn't know games had regions...
