I bought the Genesis version when I was once in the States... I was so let down when my MegaDrive would not let me play it. Had to buy a cartridge to fool it. Same thing with some SegaCD games I got (I think it was Sherlock Holmes), bought a really expensive cartrige in "El Corte Ingles" that let me play those. Not sure if those things have any resale value now xD
I've played many times through Streets of Rage 2, it's perfect designed to blast away with friends and my sisters during any odd afternoon.

Wait, you bought an adaptor to play american Mega Drive games? Noob
You only had to break a small part of the plastic around the cartridge slot and they would work.

I assure you that they didn't work. I think they did fit, but somehow checked the internals and said the game was not compatible. This was before the internet, and I didn't know games had regions...
