Aka - We don't have that much confidence in our product(s), so we wait for Nvidia to show theirs first.
Man they have their cards ready lol, wtf. Grow a pair RTG/AMD.

Intel: We are so confident we are gonna launch our product a month ahead of our competitors
Radeon: We got no balls so Nvidia, please reveal your gpu lineup so we can discount it by 5%
Like what even man. This isn't even a duopoly, it's just Nvidia controlling the market and Radeon sucking them off for breadcrumbs

Its honestly so retarded. They want to capture marketshare and the midrange but don't even show their product in one of the biggest tech events of the year. I have no idea how AMD screws up their marketing, every, single time. Its almost like free marketing for Nvidia at this point.
They're just lucky their CPU department is doing well and Intel is dropping the ball badly.
HWU already out with a video lol

Good to see they are re-enforcing their commitment
HDMI 2.2 to offer up to 96 Gbps bandwidth

VESA introduces DisplayPort 2.1b and DP80LL (Low-Loss) specifications in collaboration with NVIDIA
Low Loss sounds like... There's low loss? We will see what happens when it comes out but if that's the way to increase the cable width and there is noticeable loss in quality... I'd go with HDMI 2.2 solution. But we will see.
ASUS Unveils Radeon RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 TUF Gaming & PRIME 16 GB GPUs, Featuring Up To Triple 8-Pin Connectors
That's a lot of power but Asus probably doing it to flex. I doubt it will need triple 8 pins.
AMD’s Z2 handheld gaming chips are official — and not coming to a Steam Deck near you. AMD initially said they would come to the Steam Deck (and others) but Valve has categorically denied a Z2 Deck https://t.co/77ImV8eCA0

I usually hear that language use when talking about Coax Cables but assuming they using it in the same context it use with Coax Cables it just mean the signal weaken at a lower rate. 100% of cables lose signal strength the longer it go which why there a max distance on all cables before the signal not strong enough anymore to reliable give the information. Low-Loss in this context just mean it can go farer before it no longer reliable.
It won't affect quality if you keep to the rated distance but that true with all cables including HDMI cables.
Most of it is marketing fluff but the one thing they clarified was FSR 4 won't be exclusive to just 9070 model but rather it will work with other RDNA4 models as well. They might try and back-port it into RDNA 3/2 but it's highly dependent on the ML capabilities of those GPUs as the ML uplift of RDNA 4 is significant so it won't happen during launch if at all.
They also said they are focusing on value and stuff but that's marketing.

Could it be that you can only connect one device through the SATA, as in, either the 2.5 inch storage or the disc drive, without the switch? |
From what I've read since, the switch apparently has something to do with tricking the laptop into thinking the ODD eject button has been pressed, giving full power to the SATA port. I think. That might explain it, except in the reviews, I've since seen some buyers mention not only HP laptops but HP 17's that this caddy apparently worked in, and while there's different 17 models, most of the time they are set up very similar if not almost identical. So the odds that mine is different enough to not work with this caddy would seem quite unlikely, especially since all these caddies look to be made to be universal.
The SATA ODD and 2.5" internal SATA HDD can both be operational and even transferring data at the same time, so I don't really see why the HDD/SSD caddy would need a switch in this case to have the second SATA HDD in the caddy, besides if it is a lack power problem without the switch, but I've tried everything I can think of and everything I've been able to dig up on the net and nothing has worked. It leaves me assuming the caddy does need the switch, or is faulty, or the laptop can't take a second SATA storage drive or third storage drive period.
