JEMC said: I very much doubt the delay for Zen5 processors is because of a typo. Sure, that could cause some confusion among buyers, but it doesn't explain the delay for review samples as a simple email explaining the mistake and that it would be fixed in retail products would be more than enough. It's a weird error, but not the main cause of the delay. |
I'm not saying is the reason for sure but whatever the issue is can't be anything severe. The delay is only 1-2 weeks. There isn't enough time for AMD to do anything substantial. It sounds like the amount of time it would take for vendors to ship back what ever inventory they've received and for AMD to deliver replacements.

Indeed, but something like this number mistake wouldn't affect the samples for reviewers.
The packaging problem we've heard about before seems more likely, but we still don't know for sure what that problem may be. It could be something like the first batch of processors having issues with heatspreader, causing thermal troubles in some units. Who knows.

Because we all know how Steam tagging is god awful and how these fests aren't exactly what they say on the tin.... what's the likelihood that there's going to be games lumped into this fest that aren't even remotely classed as "Tower defense"?.
Personally I'm guessing there will be some, like a few turn based games that aren't primarily tower based. I wish Valve would be more strict on genre tagging, so I can actually look into these festivals they host, without feeling gimped.
Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"
Hi, guys.
Unfortunately, there'll be no news today either.

The drop in gaming is apparently mostly due to console sales dropping and the GPUs being mostly flat

Should be sending those to their Q&A department instead and fire their CEO instead.

For comparison with the current offerings MSRP at launch: 7950X $699, 7900X $549, 7700X $399, 7600X $299
So the 9950X and 9900X are $100 cheaper, the 9700X is $50 cheaper and the 9600X just $20 cheaper.
Still, pretty welcome development that the chips across the board have become cheaper this gen at AMD.
