And now, part 2:

VALVE SUED BY FRENCH CONSUMER ASSOCIATION

http://www.pcgamer.com/valve-sued-by-french-consumer-association/

A change in refund policy has not been enough to convince everyone that Valve is doing all it should to, er, follow consumer protection law. French consumer rights group, UFC Que Choisir, which litigates on behalf of the public, is suing Valve over certain clauses in the Steam Subscriber Agreement that it believes are in breach of French law.

>>If you follow the link and read the 5 key points of that sue, they all make sense.

MINECRAFT: STORY MODE DROPS THE "WITHER STORM FINALE" TRAILER

http://www.pcgamer.com/minecraft-story-mode-drops-the-wither-storm-finale-trailer/

Has Telltale ever put out an episodic game series with a schedule as compressed as that of Minecraft: Story Mode? I certainly can't think of one. The first episode came out on October 13 and the studio announced today that the fourth and concluding-but-not-final episode will launch on December 22.

EVOLVE NOW FEATURES A PSYCHOTIC, HOMICIDAL ROBOT NAMED EMET

http://www.pcgamer.com/evolve-now-features-a-psychotic-homicidal-robot-named-emet/

Turtle Rock has added a new Hunter to its asymmetric shooter Evolve named Emet, a medical drone that's been "repurposed" for combat. Naturally, the upgrade process didn't go entirely smoothly, and so Emet suffers from a sort of robotic split-personality disorder that's left it part extra-helpful Claptrap, and part HK-51, but more homicidally unhinged.

BRUTAL DOOM VIDEO SHOWS FORTHCOMING "GIB PHYSICS" UPDATE

http://www.pcgamer.com/brutal-doom-video-shows-forthcoming-gib-physics-update/

Brutal Doom v20 released back in June, but that doesn't mean the modders aren't hard at work making it more brutal. The video above shows off the in-development "detailed destroyable bodies and gib physics" update which will roll out with Brutal Doom version 20b, which hasn't got a release date yet.

>>Another mod news? Yes, I forgot to put it. Here's a video showing the "improvements": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEEIOHpwI5s

TF2'S TOUGH BREAK UPDATE IS LIVE, INCLUDES MANNCO AEROBICS

http://www.pcgamer.com/tf2s-tough-break-update-is-live-includes-mannco-aerobics/

Team Fortress 2's Tough Break Update has landed, bringing with it 26 new contracts, a weapon-loaning program, and the ability to have your character perform dance aerobics via a newly added taunt (see above).

AMERICAN TRUCK SIMULATOR GETS A RELEASE DATE

http://www.pcgamer.com/american-truck-simulator-gets-a-release-date/

Have you ever wished, as you were Euro-trucking your way to Manchester with crates of yoghurt in the back, that everything—literally everything—was massive? The cab, the motorway, the island on which you've found yourself? American Truck Simulator will make that wish come true on February 3.

TOTAL ANNIHILATION INVADES STEAM AT LAST

http://www.pcgamer.com/total-annihilation-invades-steam-at-last/

The 1997 progenitor of the 3D RTS has marched its way at long last into the Steam catalogue. Total Annihilation has had a home on GOG for a while, being a bonafide piece of gaming history which has picked up 58 awards in its time, including our very own Gamers' Choice award for Best RTS.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE FREE THIS WEEKEND

http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-free-this-weekend/

Hot on the heels of its first big patch, Rainbow Six Siege will be free to try this weekend—if you can get a referral from someone who already owns it. Each Rainbow Six player gets four referral codes to give out, and if that's you, you can claim them here. The free weekend opens today at 6:01pm EST and continues through to Monday 21, 12:01pm EST.

THE ELDER SCROLLS: LEGENDS DELAYED INTO 2016

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-elder-scrolls-legends-delayed-into-2016/

Card games are so much the rage these days that I'd completely forgotten Bethesda was cooking up one of its own. Slow-cooking, I should say. Though The Elder Scrolls: Legends was targeted for the end of this year, Tweets from vice president of marketing Pete Hines (yes, the chap who wrote the sick note) have confirmed that we'll see it in 2016.

And that's it. By the way, if you're interested in Unreal Tournament 2016, pcgameshardware.de has benchmarked 22 cards from the last 6 years to see how they perform.

Oh, and Sword Coast Legends is free during this weekend at Steam.

Do you have an Nvidia card? Just activate Shadowplay in Geforce Experience and remember Alt-F10 (last 15-??minutes, similar to PS4 feature) and Alt-F9 (manual recording).

Here are some additional hotkeys: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/2uyfo7/nvidia_shadowplay_default_keybindings_list/

Within AMD's Gaming Evolved package comes Raptr, that works like Shadowplay (I think). http://raptr.com/amd

And I don't watch many let's play videos, but on the few I've seen the host did spoke. But if you're shy, you could do some introduction and then use text messages through the video, but I don't know how that works.

*Edit* About which game you should start with, it really depends on you. If you go with a big and new game you'll probably have more visits, but the comments can be a lot harsher. If you go with a small game you'll get less visits but they could be more loyal.

I think no one will be surprised by what I'm going to say, but our little PC builds project is pretty much dead.

To HoloDust, Chazore and Bofferbrauer, the only three that took some time to take part on it, thank you. I'm very grateful for that, but unfortunately it wasn't enough.

HoloDust did make a couple of $700 build and even a $1,000 one, all of them excellent, as well as an extra $500 PC that drived me nuts when I tried to do it in Euros, but unless I've missed it, not the $1,300 one. Bofferbrauer joined the fun building a 500€ PC that wasn't part of the original plan, but was a good machine (and was also better than mine), and Chazore did an attempt at building a £500 PC but couldn't make more because he had problems to solve (how's your RAM? Does it finally work or have you RMA'd it?).

We're 6 days off Christmas and in my opinion that leaves us with no time to make the rest of the builds, discuss them to find a build that we all can agree with (because otherwise it's just our personal opinion on what a PC of X budget should be, and an opinion is like ass, everybody has one) and make a thread for those who are planning to buy or build a new PC this holidays.

Therefore, I'm sorry to make you waste your time, but it's Game Over.

Guys can anyone tell me whats the best free software to record gameplay videos for youtube?. I want to start a gaming channel and upload some lets play videos, but not really sure where to start xD.
Also maybe if you guys could look at my steam profile http://steamcommunity.com/id/mcdgray129/
and help me pick one of the games from my list that you think i should do?.

Also do you need to talk in lets play videos? cos im kinda shy when it comes to that stuff xD

Most do speak, but's it's not an obligation. Some doesn't and use subtitles or crawling text instead, others don't alter their vids in any way (especially common in Long Plays). Most people who watch LP do so for the commentary though, but not having one may just be jour distict style to demark yourself from the other Let's Players.

I do have AMD Gaming Evolved, but it prefers Twitch instead of Youtube as far as I can tell.

I wouldn't go with a new game. Basically everybody who starts a LP Channel does so. As a result, you'd just be the proverbial needle in the haystack who nobody finds. Better come up with something more original, preferably a game you know well or something more obscure.

That's too bad, considering I got another build here, one for an 850€ PC. Guess I'll just post it anyway:

Well, I have to apologise again for making you waste your time. Looking back, I think that I should have made the proposal earlier, but that's when I came with the idea.

That's a nice build, but it falls between our target budgets. The original idea was 3 builds of 700-1,000-1,300 €, with the 500 € one being an experiment that HoloDust did because why not and that I also did it for the same reason.

By the way, with the extra 150 € I managed to make a build with an R9 390 and a better processor .

I know it falls between the target builds (that's why I didn't post it earlier), but I wanted to create one halfway between 700 and 1000€ as I felt the jump was a bit to big.

And yes, I would also just have changed CPU and GPU (and the mentioned 2nd casefan) for the 1000€ build, the rest is quite good for most other builds. It also actually has more RAM already than your 1000€ build, making it a bit more futureproof in that area.

I see...

And future proof is debatable, yours is DDR3 while mine was DDR4.
