I just have to say. Thanks to MS, PC some of the best exclusives ever.
People can talk about Valve all they want when it comes to PC.

But what exclusives and what new games are Valve bringing to Pc?

Nothing to make console gamers want a PC?..

So PC Gamers can brag about Valve all they want. But the is only one company bringing exclusive games to PC and xbox that cant be got on PS5 and that is MS. Point being if a PS user wants to play one of them exclusives proper they need a PC or an Xbox.. Heck even Sony has now been forced to put their gsmes on PC thanks to this strategy. MS has and is doing a lot more for PC gaming than most PC users even think..

Thats just my opinion since im drunk but its the truth btw.

Name another company thats so big that has exclusive PC games?. Think about they still pretty much exclusive pc games to Sony and Nintendo gamers unless they want an xbox.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod increases LOD and view distance
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/red-dead-redemption-2-mod-increases-lod-and-view-distance/
Modder ‘MrTorrance’ has released a must-have mod for all Red Dead Redemption 2 fans. This mod will increase the game’s LOD and view distance values, which will result in less pop-in of distant objects.
This RDR2 Mod increases the distance of highly detailed assets that the game will load. It also extends the high-quality LOD, making distant vistas to be more detailed than ever. Plus, it improves objects that are in interior places, meaning that they won’t fade out right in front of you.
The mod comes in three versions. The Basic version only includes the extended high-quality LOD. Then, we have the High and Very High versions. These versions increase the distance of highly detailed assets, extend the LOD, and improve the quality of interior objects.
>>The article doesn't have screenshots nor videos about the mod. By the way, here are the best Red Dead Redemption 2 mods.

New Valheim Mod introduces seasons to its game world
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/new-valheim-mod-seasons-world/
Modder ‘RustyNoodles’ has released a pretty cool new mod for Valheim. According to its description, the mod introduces seasons to the game world. As such, it can provide a new immersive environmental experience.
The Seasonality Mod in Valheim brings four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. It comes with cool effects based on the season, lets you control the weather, and even has custom textures. In short, this is a mod you have to try.

Stealth classic Thief: The Dark Project just got a 10-mission fan campaign called The Black Parade from a team led by an Arkane Lyon level designer
https://www.pcgamer.com/stealth-classic-thief-the-dark-project-just-got-a-10-mission-fan-campaign-called-the-black-parade-from-a-team-led-by-an-arkane-lyon-level-designer/
Thief: The Dark Project is 25 years old, but it's still one of the best stealth games around, with an active community making fan missions for both it and The Dark Mod, a standalone recreation made with the Doom 3 engine of all things. The Black Parade is for Thief Gold rather than the Dark Mod, the definitive 1999 rerelease with extra maps, which is the version you'll find going for seven bucks on Steam today.
The Black Parade is the work of a team called Feuillade Industries, led by project director Romain Barrilliot. Barrilliot currently works as a level designer at Arkane Lyon and has credits at 3D Realms and Streum On, but he's also a modder, having worked on Sven Co-op for Half-Life and one of my favorite Thief fan missions, The Sound of a Burrick in a Room.
Rather than a standalone map, The Black Parade is an entire campaign of 10 linked missions. When I'm playing fan maps I do miss the original game's sense of narrative, and its delightful protagonist Garrett, which The Black Parade aims to emulate by casting you as a hardened criminal named Hume. Returning to The City after being exiled, you're flat broke and forced to turn to thievery.

Monday news, part two:

I think Larian really did sneak schlong physics into Baldur's Gate 3 without telling anybody
https://www.pcgamer.com/i-think-larian-really-did-sneak-schlong-physics-into-baldurs-gate-3-without-telling-anybody/
The latest patch of Baldur's Gate 3 has a lot of quality-of-life updates. It has a lovely little epilogue, a gnarly new honour mode that's been giving Ted Litchfield spikes in his blood pressure, among many other tune-ups and fixes. And uh, schlong physics. Did we mention the schlong physics? Because Larian sure didn't.
I'd show you proof, but while PC Gamer writes for adults and we all assume you won't faint if you see the word 'penis', I think actively uploading a video of my tiefling's pocket flail slapping around might be a step too far. Just—if you have a character with a penis, you can test it yourself. The update's live. Go with god.
>> Now you have something to try the next time you play the game. By the way, the composer of the game has a sneaky cameo.

Activision felt 'now was the time' to put Call of Duty's DMZ mode out to pasture, says play zombies instead
https://www.pcgamer.com/activision-felt-now-was-the-time-to-put-call-of-dutys-dmz-mode-out-to-pasture-says-play-zombies-instead/
Call of Duty's DMZ mode launched as part of Warzone 2.0 and, at the time, felt like it could be the next big multiplayer thing. Shows what I know, but the mode was essentially a fast-paced and slicker take on some key Tarkov mechanics, and the PvEvP rhythm was a welcome change in pace for the oft-relentless Warzone.
Ever since, however, DMZ hasn't had the level of content support that is now standard across COD's various offerings, and Activision even started calling it a "beta" at one point. Now shortly after the release of the disappointing Modern Warfare 3, Activision has announced that DMZ is effectively being mothballed: the mode will remain free-to-play and accessible via Warzone, but progression will no longer sync across game modes and it will no longer count towards the game's battle passes.

https://www.pcgamer.com/nightingale-the-neo-victorian-survival-game-being-made-by-former-bioware-devs-is-taking-signups-for-a-server-stress-test/
I'm not usually a big crafting-survival game guy but Nightingale has me intrigued, both for its premise—neo-Victorian explorers plunging through portals to investigate dangerous otherworldly realms—and its pedigree: Developer Inflexion Games is headed up by former BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, and has a number of other BioWare veterans on staff. After a handful of delays, it's now set to launch into early access in February, and ahead of that the studio is planning an open server stress test.

It sure looks like Alan Wake 2 will be getting a New Game+ mode soon, and I mean "looks like" in the most literal sense possible. Remedy teased the upcoming addition with an image of its titular hero standing on a nighttime rooftop, with the words "New Game+" silhouetted in a flashlight beam.

Blizzard cranks the dial on Diablo 4's endgame progression so its brutal new dungeons don't tear you apart
https://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-cranks-the-dial-on-diablo-4s-endgame-progression-so-its-brutal-new-dungeons-dont-tear-you-apart/
Next week, Diablo 4 will drop a new endgame seasonal event that is so hard you might not be able to finish the last tier of it. Blizzard demonstrated it on stream yesterday and promised that it would challenge the most powerful builds in the game. Possibly out of mercy, Blizzard will make it much easier to improve your character in the same patch, saving you time and misery as you attempt the Abattoir of Zir.

CD Projekt ties up one last loose end from Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch: the class action lawsuit
https://www.pcgamer.com/cd-projekt-ties-up-one-last-loose-end-from-cyberpunk-2077s-disastrous-launch-the-class-action-lawsuit/
We said in October that Cyberpunk 2077's redemption is complete, but I think that may have been a little premature because now it's really complete: CD Projekt has finally settled the class action lawsuit filed against it in 2020 by investors who weren't happy with the state of the game at launch.

Deckbuilder fans owe themselves some time with the brilliant Cobalt Core
https://www.pcgamer.com/deckbuilder-fans-owe-themselves-some-time-with-the-brilliant-cobalt-core/
What might be the year's best deckbuilding game launched last month, to little fanfare, with the release of Cobalt Core. It's a mechanically rich and well-developed little game that brings out the best of the roguelike deckbuilding genre by combining its own twist: Tactical positioning that means every attack comes from somewhere and goes somewhere, allowing you to dodge enemy attacks—or have the enemy dodge your own.

https://www.pcgamer.com/gatekeeper-is-like-an-isometric-risk-of-rain-2-so-go-ahead-and-try-the-free-prologue/
If you, like me, are basically always hungry for another fast-paced horde shooting roguelike with crazy items and combos to build, I've got great news. Upcoming roguelite shooter Gatekeeper is just that, and it has a pretty dang generous free demo slash prologue version out now that's fully-featured enough to include cooperative gameplay.

Fortnite's 2018 throwback map was so popular, Epic's bringing it back again next year (after blowing it up)
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnites-2018-throwback-map-was-so-popular-epics-bringing-it-back-again-next-year-after-blowing-it-up/
Fortnite's OG throwback season ended with a literal bang today, as Epic's Chapter 5 event wiped the slate to replace it with a new one tomorrow after scheduled maintenance—a cycle of eternal recurrence not unlike that central to several religions. Never fear though, nostalgia addicts: as reported by Eurogamer, Epic Games has promised to break the wheel of fate and bring the throwback map back once again next year.

Fortnite now lets you assassinate Peter Griffin and steal his powers, but players are miffed about new running animations
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-now-lets-you-assassinate-peter-griffin-and-steal-his-powers-but-players-are-miffed-about-new-running-animations/
The page has turned on another chapter of Fortnite Battle Royale, with Chapter 5 Season 1 beginning today after the conclusion of the game's hugely successful 2018 throwback season. The new season brought not only a new map and weapons, but also a somewhat contentious revamp of the game's movement animations. I'm just stuck on the Peter Griffin boss fight, though.
The Family Guy protagonist is joined by some of my favorite characters, Oscar, Nisha, Montague, and Valeria (I don't know who these people are) in some manner of sinister society of PvE bosses on the island. Mechanically, they're kind of sick: killing one confers a medallion that regenerates your shield over time, and stacking medallions speeds up the effect, but also shows your position to enemy players with increasing accuracy.
>> And it also adds LEGO themed skins.

Peter Griffin drinks the expired Fortnite slurp juice in a lore explainer, in case you were worried about Family Guy's continuity for some reason
https://www.pcgamer.com/peter-griffin-drinks-the-expired-fortnite-slurp-juice-in-a-lore-explainer-in-case-you-were-worried-about-family-guys-continuity-for-some-reason/
Family Guy is now in Fortnite as part of Chapter 5. In an attempt to explain his latest glow-up, Fortnite itself has created a short that will haunt my nightmares.
While the choice to make Peter Griffin swole makes sense from a design perspective (his peak male physique would have required a whole new set of animations to avoid becoming clip city), it's also something that's happened in the cartoon before. Still, Fortnite has felt the need to provide an explainer short, no doubt to calm down fans concerned about Family Guy's deep, complex, seasons-spanning multiversal narrative, rivalled only by fantasy epics like The Wheel of Time.

https://www.pcgamer.com/be-a-frog-kill-bugs-collect-cool-dice-in-the-demo-for-dicebuilding-roguelike-die-in-the-dungeon/
A new dicebuilding game is on the way, taking the roguelite framework and applying it in an interesting-looking way by having you place your dice in a grid for synergies and effects. Plus, you're a cute frog that's eating bugs. Big bonus in my opinion.

Stardew Valley 1.6 is still chugging along, says creator, after a month of "self-imposed" crunch
https://www.pcgamer.com/stardew-valley-16-is-still-chugging-along-says-creator-after-a-month-of-self-imposed-crunch/

This indie fuses the structure of Hades with the horde smashing action of Vampire Survivors
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-indie-fuses-the-structure-of-hades-with-the-horde-smashing-action-of-vampire-survivors/
A new indie roguelike is taking the metagame and plot structure of Hades and fusing it with the wave survival of the horde-battling genre popularized by Vampire Survivors. Death Must Die, the Early Access sophomore game from developers Realm Archive, has you undertaking successive expeditions into the underworld and fighting Death's minions.

Furi's creators dropped a free demake of the first boss fight as a thanks to fans
https://www.pcgamer.com/furis-creators-dropped-a-free-demake-of-the-first-boss-fight-as-a-thanks-to-fans/
Excellent bullet hell and melee battle mashup Furi dropped back in 2016 and left a big impact crater on action genre fans, demanding attention and careful play from players with a unique control scheme emphasizing dual stick play around shooting and slashing. It's certainly one of those games for fans of responsive controls, people who really care about how a game feels while they're playing it.
Now, developers The Game Bakers have dropped a free demake via another developer, Sylph, that reimagines Furi's first boss fight against The Chain as an 8-bit era game with brilliant neon colors and high-contrast pixel-art visuals. It's honestly a pretty wild bit of game design, taking a very 3D shoot-em-up and hack and slash title and making into a very 2D version of the same thing.

Put on your bunny ears and go to bullet hell in indie metroidvania Tevi
https://www.pcgamer.com/put-on-your-bunny-ears-and-go-to-bullet-hell-in-indie-metroidvania-tevi/
A recent indie release out of Japan is getting positive buzz. Tevi, a combination bullet hell-metroidvania-RPG, stands out among the genre with not just interesting and novel gameplay mechanics but an emphasis on a longer story and the kind of flashy character design you expect from a Japanese release.

Windows 12 release date pegged to June 2024 by Taiwanese financial paper
https://www.pcgamer.com/windows-12-release-date-pegged-to-june-2024-by-taiwanese-financial-paper/
It might be because it had something of a rocky start, but it sometimes seems like Windows 11 is only just reaching its maturity, what with the continuing march of added features and substantial Windows 11 updates released over the past year. However, those of you who've only recently made the switch may be surprised to learn the release of Windows 12 might not be far away, as soon as June 2024 if recent reports are to be believed.

According to Taiwanese financial paper The Commercial Times, Acer CEO Jason Chen and the chairman of PC manufacturer Quanta, Barry Lam, were both present at the Medical Taiwan trade show this week, and they appeared to have plenty to say about what they think computing might look like in the near future. However, there's some information here that's got the rumour mill cranking, and it's related to a potential release date for Windows 12.

AMD's new chiplet GPU patent could finally do for graphics cards what Ryzen did for its CPUs
https://www.pcgamer.com/amds-new-chiplet-gpu-patent-could-finally-do-for-graphics-cards-what-ryzen-did-for-its-cpus/
A little over a week ago, an AMD patent titled Distributed Geometry was published by the US Patent Office, the patent itself was filed by AMD in April this year. The patent details a fully chiplet approach to GPUs, where the rendering workload is distributed across a collection of chips, rather than having one massive die handling all of the processing. There's no indication that we'll see this employed in a Radeon graphics card any time soon, of course, but it's the natural evolution of what we've already seen in RDNA 3.

I picked up news of the patent from YouTube channel RedGamingTech and it's a fascinating read. Although the document is titled 'Distributed Geometry', it's really about distributed rendering. Take AMD's current Navi 31 GPU, its largest graphics processor as used in the Radeon RX 7900 series. That does use chiplets but these only contain two VRAM interfaces and a slice of L3 Infinity Cache; the rest of the GPU resides in a single block (called the GCD, graphics compute die).

Name another company thats so big that has exclusive PC games?. Think about they still pretty much exclusive pc games to Sony and Nintendo gamers unless they want an xbox.

I won't go into much detail, but you're wrong on a couple points:

Sony launching its games on PC has little to do with MSoft and a lot with a hard reality that many console gamers don't realize or don't want to talk about: stagnation.

The number of people gaming on consoles exploded with the PS1 and increased again with the PS2 era but, ever since then, the total number of consoles sold has been roughly the same, around 200 million units (not counting Nintendo that has gone its own way). That is a big problem because the game development costs have kept rising gen after gen, and Sony has now realized what MSoft did (by necessity) last gen: they need the extra sales from PC gamers to get the profit they need in several games. It's because of necessity, that simple.

As for Valve not doing anything to make console gamers want a PC... well, even here in this site there are several console only users that bought a Steam Deck, a device that has made for the portable gaming PCs segment the same as the first Playstation did for the console market.
