zero129 said: I just have to say. Thanks to MS, PC some of the best exclusives ever. Thats just my opinion since im drunk but its the truth btw. Name another company thats so big that has exclusive PC games?. Think about they still pretty much exclusive pc games to Sony and Nintendo gamers unless they want an xbox. |
I won't go into much detail, but you're wrong on a couple points:
Sony launching its games on PC has little to do with MSoft and a lot with a hard reality that many console gamers don't realize or don't want to talk about: stagnation.
The number of people gaming on consoles exploded with the PS1 and increased again with the PS2 era but, ever since then, the total number of consoles sold has been roughly the same, around 200 million units (not counting Nintendo that has gone its own way). That is a big problem because the game development costs have kept rising gen after gen, and Sony has now realized what MSoft did (by necessity) last gen: they need the extra sales from PC gamers to get the profit they need in several games. It's because of necessity, that simple.
As for Valve not doing anything to make console gamers want a PC... well, even here in this site there are several console only users that bought a Steam Deck, a device that has made for the portable gaming PCs segment the same as the first Playstation did for the console market.
Please excuse my bad English.
Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
