And yes, today there's a part three:

Be a frog, kill bugs, collect cool dice in the demo for dicebuilding roguelike Die in the Dungeon

A new dicebuilding game is on the way, taking the roguelite framework and applying it in an interesting-looking way by having you place your dice in a grid for synergies and effects. Plus, you're a cute frog that's eating bugs. Big bonus in my opinion.

Stardew Valley developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has emerged from a month of silence to say that he has made "a ton of progress" on the upcoming 1.6 update for the beloved indie farm and life sim.

A new indie roguelike is taking the metagame and plot structure of Hades and fusing it with the wave survival of the horde-battling genre popularized by Vampire Survivors. Death Must Die, the Early Access sophomore game from developers Realm Archive, has you undertaking successive expeditions into the underworld and fighting Death's minions.

Furi's creators dropped a free demake of the first boss fight as a thanks to fans

Excellent bullet hell and melee battle mashup Furi dropped back in 2016 and left a big impact crater on action genre fans, demanding attention and careful play from players with a unique control scheme emphasizing dual stick play around shooting and slashing. It's certainly one of those games for fans of responsive controls, people who really care about how a game feels while they're playing it.
Now, developers The Game Bakers have dropped a free demake via another developer, Sylph, that reimagines Furi's first boss fight against The Chain as an 8-bit era game with brilliant neon colors and high-contrast pixel-art visuals. It's honestly a pretty wild bit of game design, taking a very 3D shoot-em-up and hack and slash title and making into a very 2D version of the same thing.

Put on your bunny ears and go to bullet hell in indie metroidvania Tevi

A recent indie release out of Japan is getting positive buzz. Tevi, a combination bullet hell-metroidvania-RPG, stands out among the genre with not just interesting and novel gameplay mechanics but an emphasis on a longer story and the kind of flashy character design you expect from a Japanese release.
