My guess is that the zen4 3D CPUs won't launch at CES but a bit later, but hopefully not as late as June, and that's why we have less leaks about them.

And yeah, the 4070Ti will likely launch at the same price as the 4080 12GB was announced. Even if AMD could compete, which it hardly can, Nvidia doesn't really care.

Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, can now run all released PS3 games
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/playstation-3-emulator-rpcs3-can-now-boot-all-released-ps3-games/
The RPCS3 team has just announced that the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, can now run all the games that were released on Sony’s console. In other words, every PS3 game will at the very least boot and show an image output.
From this point on, the team will obviously focus on improving overall performance. Furthermore, the team will also focus on fixing graphical bugs and glitches. What’s also cool is that modders are releasing 60fps patches for numerous games that were locked at 30fps. As such, PC gamers can experience some of these PS3 games in a better way.

The RPCS3 team is nuts. The amount of work it likely took them to get it to this level probably had a lot of man hours put in. Great job to them.

It is, indeed, an immense task, and they're doing a wonderful job.

But they'll still need a lot more work until all the games are playable, if that's even possible.

Well here is my Steam Replay https://s.team/y22/nvhrbt?l=english
Most of my gaming time this year has been on other platforms. But from December you can see my Steamdeck has took up a lot of my gaming time that would be much higher if the replay chart could show emulation usage and games from other stores that i been playing on it .

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti now up for preorder in China for same price as canceled RTX 4080 12GB - VideoCardz.com

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-now-up-for-preorder-in-china-for-same-price-as-canceled-rtx-4080-12gb

Wouldn't surprise me after seeing the disappointing price and performance of the 7900XT. Nvidia is usually not the one to undercut AMD. Least with this class of GPUs, you could argue that Vram is more important as it will be 12GB vs 20GB but outside of that, AMD likely will have no advantages this time around other than hopes of getting their drivers fixed.

Considering how big the gap was between the two 4080s, the 7900XT should still come out on top, and by some margin, even without better drivers. 23% less Cuda cores, 25% less L2 cache, 33% less bandwidth and only a 100Mhz higher clock rate is simply not enough to compensate as the 7900XT is generally less than 10% behind the 4080 on aggregate.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU to feature 7424 CUDA cores, 42% faster than RTX 3080

A bit underwhelming considering the ~30% higher power limit (175W to 135W)

Remember a few debates I had on this forum that the complexity and performance of the Cell was going to hold back emulation efforts... And here we are today.

Not only does RSPC3 have better performance than Xbox 360 emulators... But better compatibility too.

But it actually speaks volume to the architects of RSPC3 and their skills, it's impressive.

I wouldn't continue to overestimate Radeon and underestimate Nvidia after how disappointing the launch has been. The difference between 7900XT and 4080 once you remove the CPU limitations is more like 14-15% rather than less than 10%...

I am also not sure where you got the 135 watt power limit from?

I wouldnt worry about that, im pretty sure lots of people thought it was going to be hard or near impossible to emulate.

Playstation 4 emulator, fpPS4, can run for the first time a 3D game at acceptable framerates
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/playstation-4-emulator-fpps4-can-run-for-the-first-time-a-3d-game-at-acceptable-framerates/
John GodGames Emus has shared a video, showcasing Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas running on the Playstation 4 emulator, fpPS4, at acceptable framerates. This is the first 3D game that this PS4 emulator can run at acceptable framerates.
Now as you will see, emulation is not perfect yet. There are currently a lot of graphical glitches and bugs, meaning that the game is not fully playable. And even though this is a somehow simple 3D game, it’s a huge step for this open-source emulator.

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets an HD Texture Pack, overhauling all ground & rock textures
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/red-dead-redemption-2-gets-an-hd-texture-pack-overhauling-all-ground-rock-textures/
Modder ‘WickedHorseMan’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Red Dead Redemption 2. This pack aims to improve the game’s graphics by overhauling all ground and rock textures.
The modder has used AI techniques, like ESRGAN, in order to upscale the textures by four times. Do note, however, that the normal maps and reflection textures have not been touched.
Since the modder has used AI techniques to enhance the vanilla textures, we highly recommend using it. After all, these new textures retain the art style of the original/vanilla ones.

Escape from Tarkov's upcoming 0.13 patch will introduce the long-awaited Streets of Tarkov map, an area of dense urban buildup packed with buildings, wrecked cars, and disintegrating infrastructure. The trailer for the patch, posted on Youtube and above, shows off some environments and more. The patch will supposedly also include a new boss. Maybe those guys on the APC we saw last year.

I love making the news this X-mas days. They're so short!
