it's a metric that was once said by a developers seems to hold up from the times when numbers have been released in my experiance, yes. But who really knows lol, so few devs release actual detailed sales numbers (usually only smaller indie titles and the like) it's hard to say. But sure lets say it's a million seller by the end of the month.

That's cool and yeah that seems correct, I forgot I was tracking and I had RE6 and it was about 10X after 1 week. The RE-Net keeps track of all users registered or not. On PC you can only have 1 user. It had 120,000 users, and after about 1 month it had 200,000.

So basically when i wake up you are going to sleep. When i get home from work, you are waking up. When you get home, I am asleep. The worst possible scenario So weekends will be our only chance...i sleep very weird hours over the weekend so its quite possible that we can play at some point.
But anyways if you are a Diablo 2 fan or just an ARPG fan in general you really should give Path of Exile a chance...the game does not have the immediate charm of a diablo or torchlight, and I know a lot of people that simply dont like it. But to be honest, its the best ARPG game since Diablo 2. It has an amazing skill system, item/crafting system and a worthwhile end game. The mechanics are soo good that sometimes i feel its surpassed Diablo 2. The only game that i have ever even considered beating diablo 2 in any way. And thats saying something.
But as much as i like the mechanics and such, theres a few people who absolutely dont like it. So i guess all im saying is try the game, give it some time to really understand it and then decide if you wana continue. Keep in mind that the game is almost exclusively designed for the hardcore/serious player and doesnt really bother trying to get casuals into it.
That being said i just really want someone to play with...i think i should go write on lestatdarks wall again and see if hes willing to give it a try...i know hes quite the diablo fan.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number no longer contains the sexual assault scene included in game’s current demo as the developer Dennaton Games is re-working it.
Speaking with RPS, the scene in question was part a demo shown to the press and has received criticism over the playable character Pig Butcher tossing a woman down before dropping his pants.
According to the RPS interview, the female in question was the only one shown in the demo, and after the pants dropping bit, a “director” came onto the screen telling her to act “utterly horrified in a more girly way,” – insinuating the scene was a fake one.
“We were really sad that some people were so affected by it, because maybe they had been through something like that of their own,” said the firm’s Dennis Wedin. “Maybe they had a terrible experience of their own that was triggered by the game. That was not intentional at all. We didn’t add the scene just to be controversial. There is a meaning to these two characters. There’s a lot more to them than just this scene.
“We removed it for the demo. We’re going to work with it, see if we can fix it. You get a bigger picture when you play the whole game, which is lost in the demo of course.”
Wedin said these two characters come back later in the game and the player will learn more about them.
“There’s also gonna be playable female characters – a lot more of them in the final game,” he said. “She’s the only one in this demo, so I understand why people got so upset. But there’s gonna be a lot more to these characters.
“The idea for the opening Pig Butcher scene came from a friend who played the original Hotline Miami and saw it as a horror game. That isn’t really how we see it, but we thought it was pretty cool. We wanted to explore the idea that people can see the game different ways – what it’s all about.
“So for this game, we thought it would be cool to examine that idea. Show how some other people saw the game, like if we gave them the ability to do a remake of the first game. That’s why we did the whole movie director [angle].”
Wedin went on to say that the developer’s reasoning behind the assault scene was due to it being a “trend in horror movies,” which tend to take the next step up with sequels.
“So almost doing that with the illusion of an assault but then having the game stop you, that’s us saying we’re not going to go the whole way,” eh said. “That’s not Hotline Miami. That’s not what we’re about. So instead, it just stops.”
Wedin said the team will see how people react to the reworked scene when the whole game is tested, when it can be presented in full and “in a good way,” instead of provocative.

Viking caravans might be slow, methodical machines, but they make their arrival worth the wait. By mercilessly slaughtering all who oppose them. I’m mostly certain that won’t be the outcome of The Banner Saga‘s impending arrival, but I don’t like to make assumptions. What I know for sure, however, is that Stoic isn’t just tossing chapter one out in the cold and leaving it in permafrost while time passes it by. The series will continue marching onward, and another go at Kickstarter definitely isn’t out of the question.

Back earlier in the year around the launch of Heart of the Swarm, something strange was going on in the depths of Blizzard’s website. Something called Project Blackstone appeared, but required a password to access. Finally, what was going on behind closed doors has been revealed to public eyes, as the files for Blackstone have been declassified.
I should probably point out about now that Blackstone isn’t a new game, but an in-universe story about Mengsk and his experiments on Zerg and Protoss. The story is told through a variety of logs, notes and Twitter conversations (apparently the social network is still very popular in the year 2505, at least among Dominion science teams). All 41 logs have now been ‘declassified’ by the Dominion and are now available for public viewing. In other words: Blizzard have made the whole story available on the Blackstone website, no password needed.
If you’d rather not play along and search through the Twitter feeds of the entire science team, you can read a concise summary of the events on the StarCraft Wiki. But where’s the fun in that, eh?

Okay. Here was PAX in a nutshell. We brought a PC to show off how pretty SoD looks on a PC. It was a normal machine with two year old components, running the game on the medium settings. We will be launching the controller-only version on Steam as part of their Early Access thing in a couple weeks or so - please note that I can't control the exact date, and I don't have one to give you. Then comes Sandbox (still testing, so again, I don't have an exact date), and before the year is out, the full mouse and keyboard PC version on Steam.

They sure are taking their time with it. Launching it during the busy season likely quite close to the DayZ Beta is going to really lessen it's impact I think.

It's finally official: the second chapter of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is coming to Steam and PSP as a digital release next year. The first chapter, already out for PSP, will also be released on Steam at some point this winter.
That means English-speakers will be able to play both games in the beloved RPG series on PSP, Vita, or PC by the end of 2014.
In case you're unfamiliar: Trails in the Sky is one of my favorite role-playing games on the PSP, thanks to its sharp writing, killer music, and wonderful sense of adventure. It essentially captures everything I'd want from an RPG. And it ends on one hell of a cliffhanger, which has led fans like me to grump and whine to XSEED asking why the sequel (a direct continuation of the first chapter's story) isn't out in English yet.
Now we know. It's coming next year.
XSEED is publishing SC with the translation help of Carpe Fulgur, the company behind Japanese RPGs like Recettear and Chantelise.
“We are pleased to finally give the fans what they have been requesting so fervently for over two years,” said XSEED vp Ken Berry in a press release. “There’s been a constant demand ever since we released the original The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and we are extremely grateful for our partnership with the passionate localizers at Carpe Fulgur to finally make it a reality.”
Here's a plot synopsis, via the press release:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky opens in the quaint and peaceful town of Rolent in the Liberl Kingdom. Home to a peacekeeping coalition free of government ties known as the Bracer Guild, the adventure follows two young aspiring bracers known as Estelle and Joshua on their trials to become full-fledged members of this elite organization. As they embark on their quest, their journey will take them across an entire country, unraveling a sinister government conspiracy along the way that’s poised to overtake the throne, threatening the very peace the bracers seek to uphold. Throughout their adventure, players can expect to learn the full depth of these characters’ origins and motivations through dialogue-driven cutscenes and lengthy side-quests.
Trails in the Sky SC, meanwhile, begins immediately after the events in the first game. Boasting over a hundred hours of gameplay between the two episodes and featuring an engaging narrative that encompasses everything from politics, economics and conspiracies to tourism, traditions and even a cat-speech dictionary, these two titles in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series combine to form an incredibly immersive RPG experience. On top of its meticulously crafted world where all actions and inhabitants are accounted for throughout the story, the game also features a meticulously customizable combat system, a massive cast of characters from all walks of life, a variety of landscapes, an in-game newspaper that publishes new issues as the story progresses, and much more.
